The customer service, especially communication was excellent. We did 2 fun and well-organized tours. The guide spoke great English, was very informative, and everybody we interacted with went out of their way to be helpful and ensure we had a positive experience.

This place by far is the best place to have your tours organized. First off the amount of tours they organize is exceptional. They have such a great variety and there is something for everyone to enjoy. We have gone on quite a few of their tours all because the service is outstanding. All the drivers and tour guides spoke english which was really comforting and just to know that all the information they share was translated so easily. The staff is so friendly and always there to answer your questions and provide information to help you choose the tours that interest you the most. We had such a great time on all the tours. I would definitely recommend this company as they take great pride in customer service and want to provide the best experience for you. We attended Chichen Itza, Tsukan Cenote, Izimal, Celestun, and many more cenotes because these were one of our most favourite sites to see. The cenotes created such a memorable experience that we will never forget. The feeling of each cenote was so different, each giving us such a tranquil feeling after swimming in them. It is definitely an experience you don't want to miss. Enjoy! You will not be disappointed.

Took a tour as a couple from Merida combining Chichén Itza, Tsukan Cenote, and Izimal. Driver and guide Gilberto was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English and we felt in very safe hands all day. Picked up at hotel at 8am and entrance tickets to Chichén Itza site were ordered in advance so no queuing was required on arrival. Met a separate guide at the entrance who was also very knowledgable and gave a great overview of Chichén Itza in our visit. Strangely, although there seemed to be many people queuing at the entrance the site never felt overcrowded. The tour of the site was followed by an excellent lunch provided at a nearby hotel in the village of Piste before a visit to a stunning Cenote in Tsukan a short drive away where we swam for around an hour. Changing facilities are available so highly recommend this unique experience.
Final stop was the colonial town of Izimal to visit the Mayan ruins and the cathedral and to stop for a drink in the wonderful town square with its attractive architecture.
All in all we would highly recommend this trip. It’s a great way to take in several aspects of Yucatan in one trip and you’re in the safest hands!
Trip included all transportation and lunch (excluding drinks) and guide fees and excluded entrance fees to Chichén Itza and the Cenote.
Final stop was the colonial town of Izimal to visit the Mayan ruins and the cathedral and to stop for a drink in the wonderful town square with its attractive architecture.

Mayan Ecotours recently took me on a tour to Celestun, Yucatan, and it was certainly an incredible experience. The tour guide was really polite and informative from the minute I was picked up from my hotel. He spoke good English and Spanish, which made the trip much more pleasant as he discussed the region's history.
The sights as we approached Celestun were stunning. The huge waters of the estuary, as well as the magnificent flamingos who make it home, provided a sense of calm and wonder. The beach was a lovely bluish-green tint, and the temperature was ideal for a leisurely stroll.
But it was Mayan Ecotours' excellent planning and outstanding service that made our excursion truly memorable.
I would highly suggest Mayan Ecotours to anybody searching for a top-notch tour experience in the Yucatan.

This was wonderful in every way. Our driver/guide was excellent and we saw a lot without feeling rushed or hurried. We’d highly recommend the company!

My wife and I recently did a tour with Mayan ecotours. The tour went to Haciendq yaxcopoil > Uxmal > Cenote. It cost us 1000 mexican peso each but didn’t include entry fees into any of the attractions so keep that in mind.
On the day of our tour I kept looking for a van but was pleasantly surprised when a driver in a car picked us up from our hotel instead. Turns out it was just us and another couple doing the tour that day. The driver/guide was friendly and spoke great English. He guided us through the Hacienda yaxcopoil but handed us over to another english speaking guide for uxmal who were were happy with. Lunch was great. We enjoyed all of the stops.
I was a little bit dubious about the price of the tour but looking back given we had a semi-private driver all day, lunch and access to a guide at Hacienda and Uxmal I thought it was reasonable. We were quoted similar prices at other tour companies in Merida that were less reputable. I also enjoyed the smaller group size.
Overall enjoyed the tour and would recommend this company to others.

I have gone on three separate tours each with different friends visiting from the states. I love the fact that I am complimented by friends on my fantastic choice for a tour company. Truth is I happened to get lucky and chose the best tour company in the Yucatán! I’ve done tours with other companies so I’m not just blindly saying that Mayan Ecotours is by far the best. Their guides are friendly, courteous, engaging and a great source of information. The service from start to finish is top notch with special attention given for the needs of our groups.

The driver Rodofo was amazing! So knowledgeable.
My family and I had a wonderful time exploring Uxmal, visiting a cenote and eating at a Mayan house. We got to make tortillas by hand with the guidance of Elisa. A really special tour. I will use Mayan Ecotours again.

We met Mario May of Mayan Ecotours at Hotel Del Peringrino in Merida Mexico. We checked in late like 10:00pm and he helped us set up a tour for the next morning. Yaxcopoil- a hacienda that was in restoration beautiful place and the guide was excellent at giving the history throughout the tour, next we went to Uxmal when you see this site you will realize that Chichenitza isn’t the most impressive Mayan ruin in Mexico after the tour of Uxmal we had lunch at the restaurant there tea & aguas were included (Beer & coke’s not included but reasonably priced). After lunch we toured the chocolate museum and learned it’s origins, saw a demonstration of how it was prepared and got to try some a very interesting experience. After the chocolate museum we stopped at a beautiful cenote for a swim. The tour was excellent but the company of the group we went with made it an over the top experience sharing our travel experiences, getting to know one another discussing tours we had taken and the ones we’re hoping to take. I enjoyed the group experience a lot. We will be back to Merida and when we are Mario May of Mayan Ecotours is who we will book our tours with.
