This was the most unexpectedly fantastic day that I've had in quite a while. The description of the adventure at the hotel belied how interesting and fun it was. Our guide, Imelda, was a wealth of information and absolutely delightful. The initial exploration of the cave system was unlike anything I've done before (I'm claustophobic- caves aren't my thing) but despite my misgivings, the caves, river, swimming and laughs were incredible. Then we rode bikes through the mangroves to do some rapelling into a (dry) cave which was such fun- everyone is so helpful, the organization of the excursions was hectic but well done and I would absolutely love to come back and do this again.

Such an amazing experience, not only you do some activities, you learn a lot about the environment, nature and yourself. We had the best guide, Imelda took the time with our family as we have a senior person who couldn't keep up the pace and between her and the assigned photographer/guide Hector took the time for everyone to enjoy the activities. I will definitely recommend it, is not extreme and all family can enjoy it.

Pristine caves and immaculate water inside. It was magical wading through the water. They take really good care of the caves to preserve them for future. This was a 5* experience. However, I wouldn't rate it a 5* because of the exorbitant photo prices they charge at the end of the tour.

Estuvo increíble; fue una muy buena desconexión de lo cotidiano para conectar con la naturaleza. Que impresionante sistema de cenotes/cuevas; los escenarios hermosos e imponentes.

Nos toco tour bilingüe así que también practícanos el inglés y todo el recorrido con ella a parte de muy educativo fue divertido.

This tour was suggested by some of our hotel staff. This was a wonderful tour and maybe one of the best I have experienced. The cave is beautiful, the tour guides knowledgeable, personable, and funny. I would suggest this tour if you are looking for a interesting and fun tour.
The tour would be better if you were allowed to take your own pictures. The staff tried to take pictures throughout the tour but they are very unflattering and expensive. We did not bring money to purchase these. Had I been able to use my water camera we would have had some pictures of the beauty of the cave that we would have enjoyed.
I would not suggest this tour if you become chilled easy as you spend approximately 1 hour waddling or swimming through the cave even in a wetsuit it might be chilly for some. also cloister phobia could be and issue for some people. The space is not small but you are underground approximately an hour.

The cave tour was amazing and a once in a lifetime experience. It was made even more special due to our tour guide KARINA and photographer/tour guide - JORDAN.
We had a few kids with us in the tour and both Karina and Jordan were amazing in helping us every step of the way. Karina was very accomodating and helpful and took time to explain everything to give us a good experience in Rio Secreto and Tulum.
I would highly recommend the tour and especially Karina and Jordan for their wonderful guidance and help.
Just a small suggestion for tourists. If you are not a good swimmer, choose the option where you can walk the cave in shallow water throughout rather than swimming a small portion in deeper waters.

What an amazing place to visit. Victor, our guide was exceptional and his English was great. He was very knowledgeable and professional, the best.

If you only have time or money to see one thing while you are in Cancun, you need to do this tour! Not only is the caves spectacular, but Pepe who was my tour guide is the most thoughtful and caring human you will ever be lucky to meet. He made sure no one was left behind, and by doing that he brought forward those who may have struggles. Makes sure you are comfortable. Pepe and his colleagues knowledge of the tour is outstanding, it was the best experience ever. I’m not one to do things twice but this one I most definitely would. Love! Love it. This company knows how to hire great people. From start to finish quality service.

Rio Secreto was a thrilling experience. Our family of 6 including a child enjoyed the experience of the underworld river cave that followed with an authentic Mexican lunch. We finished our day at the Zona Arqueológica Tulum which was beautiful. Our guide Ambar was very knowledgeable and one could tell she was passionate about the Mayan culture, nature and it's preservation she made our experience amazing!

Der unterirdische Fluß ist sehr beeindruckend - das Wasser ist super klar und die Höhlen aus so einer Perspektive zu sehen ist einzigartig.
Jetzt kommt leider das große ABER: wie schon in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt, darf man keine Unterwasserkamera oder ähnliches mitnehmen. Anstatt auf die negativen Bewertungen der Vergangenheit zu reagieren, wurden die Preise für Fotos sogar nochmal angehoben: 1 Bild kostet mittlerweile 30USD, der gesamte Bildersatz 120USD - das ist absolute Abzocke!!
Das Essen vom Buffet ist auch absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Admission includes the guided tour with all equipment and lunch. You can purchase the longer tour with bicycling and descent with a rope. It is fantastic! Enjoy!

NO it isn’t . You are welcome to step aside and not participate. I just noticed the previous answer and don’t feel that is correct. Our guide told all of us we could absent ourselves from the ceremony. That said I paddle canoes in Hawaii and we always have a prayer in Hawaiian before we go out. It’s no big deal. It was a bit like native smudging.

Check your number carefully. I also got it wrong two times. In the end, the 2 was a Z. Otherwise contact Rio Secreto.
