Nice walk followed the purple path, could do with better placed signs though the map is rubbish.
Good sculptures throughout, just a shame it’s visited by inconsiderate dog owners who cannot pick up the poo dumplings!!! Or even better those that decide to throw it in a tree.. *****!!
Good cafe near the car park and reasonably priced, car parking is cheap for all day (£1.20 on the app)
Lack of bins also so take your rubbish and dog dumplings home!

Plenty of car parking spaces. A visitor centre which we didn't visit. There is a cafe. When we visited in October the cafe was outdoor seating only. You go the counter to order your drinks then sit outside. We enjoyed our walk, but were glad we had taken a photo of the map before we started as the arrows on the signposts around the different trails have a mind of their own. At one point we followed what we thought was the right way, only to find ourselves back on a road instead of the trail. We didn't really mind, as it all added to the adventure! But I guess if you were time poor, you would want perfect directional signs!

This is a nice short easy walk. I was expecting it to be more longer and harder, which is good if you’re heading here with kids I guess. It was my first time here and sadly the cafe/information desk was closed, I’m not sure why, it was a Sunday 2pm.
I enjoyed the walk, it was very pleasant. I wish that dogs would have to be on a lead though as I encountered several dogs who came up to my kids who are cautious of dogs, none of the owners called their dogs back which I find irresponsible because not everyone likes dogs or wants to pet them.

Took longer to get there that actually walk it, how this is called a fell I’ll never know. Don’t make the same mistake as me, avoid.

Great visit to Beacon Fell - even if it was a litle blustery. Great to get out with the dogs and get some fresh air. The paths are very well maintained. Lovely scenery.

It was a cold, rather blustery and often wet February day when we visited - the first visit in perhaps 30 years. Lovely to see the visitor centre open and serving coffee's and hot barms with bacon/sausage/whatever. The toilets were spotless. The car park pay and display was out of order - such a shame as it's lost revenue. Despite the weather, we enjoyed a walk which was not at all difficult and took us through the most gorgeous (and sometimes spooky) woodland. It did get a tad boggy underfoot and we had to leave the beaten track to avoid the mud baths which had formed. Gorgeous views to take in right over to Cumbria and beyond. We said it would have been much more pleasant on a brighter day however, you have to go with the flow in the UK. Just as we commented on the lack of wildlife during the walk (only saw one bird the whole time), a deer darted across our path. What more can I say? It's lovely here.

We visited with our dog. There were numerous walks ranging in difficulty. It was nice and peaceful with some fantastic views.

My first visit here for 30 years. It has changed quite a bit with the new cafe and much better paths. It is a lovely place for walk and a coffee. Quite busy but plenty of car parks. I liked the snake but was probably too old to walk on it.

Brilliant walk and me and my support worker have really enjoyed it and it would have been nice to see the cafe open and the paying and displaying machines working not taped up and also there were some uneven paths and steep hills and steps but I would definitely recommend beacon fell to anyone and would be definitely coming back again

Sorry, only just seen your question. Some parts would be ok for bikes but there are a lot of walkers so might be difficult on a bike.

Yes I think so as there are no gates but it used to have a reputation for evening guests taking part in dogging, without their pets (iugmm) there's no lights so I would think quite scary and potentially dangerous as the ground can be uneven in parts but each to their own. Enjoy

Sorry, but I don’t do Pokemon but if you fancy a few hours in a beautiful setting with a great cafe (plus toilets) with the family this is the place to go. Great walks and views over Lancashire on the edge of the Forest of Bowland.

Sorry I have only just seen this question. It would really depend on each individual but there are flat parts that you can use. It was four years ago now but I know then you could hire ‘trampers’ like electric scooter for tough terrain. They have them at the visitor centre next to the cafe. They can wizz all around beacon fell. But the person had to be able to sit in the scooter. Hope this helps.

Are the tracks circular and can dogs have off lead walks. Also, on average how long would you allow to do the trail

There are several trails you can take and they're circular. Yes you can take your dog off lead but it can be very busy with other dog walkers, so make sure that your dog is confident around other dogs. You can spend as long as you like walking around and taking in the views but you can take half an hour on the short route. It is uphill to the summit and the paths can be muddy and rocky. If you have mobility issues you will need walking sticks and good solid boots. I have seen mobility scooters up there. Horse riders also use the trails too. There are several car parks along the one way road around the Fell. The main car park has the Visitor Centre, loos and cafe, with seating and picnic area.
