I have been to Kathy’s Yarns 2 years ago and found her very helpful when buying yarn to keep me busy during a long stay in San Miguel. This time I came to visit with Kathy and get yarns for a new project. She is very enthusiastic & has vision for helping pull together your personal projects. She is extremely helpful.

Lovely store with lots of very interesting yarns. A great place to add to your stash. Kathy is very helpful and easy to work with.

If you like fabric and yarn then make sure you stop by this shop. The owner was very gracious and helpful. We bought several beautiful rolls of saree pieces that had been stitched together.... that Kathy had gotten from Nepal.

Excellent selection of natural & blend fibers including wools & silks. One-of-a-kind designs/patterns. Some needles & shawl pins. The owner is quite personable. A must see in San Miguel!

We heard about Kathy’s shop from a lady in the street, who was helping me find a different yarn shop. She told us it was only open Friday to Sunday, but that didn’t stop us from window shopping on Wednesday
We returned on Friday (and again on Saturday) to find a wide array of yarns and finished examples of skillfully knitted items by Kathy. She was generous with her time and advice, which will help make me a better knitter.
Her personality is one to love and so is her shop. I am leaving San Miguel with many new knitting thoughts and two bags of yarn.
I can’t wait to return to San Miguel and to Kathy’s.

Whether you feel the stirrings of creativity as you walk the streets of San Miguel de Allende or if you want to take home a special gift or keepsake - Kathy's Yarn is the perfect place to do both. Pick from gorgeous yarn from around the world, pick your needles and pattern - and begin! Kathy, the owner, is a long time resident of San Miguel and a skilled Master Knitter. She is very generous with her guidance and advice. If you don't want to knit but would like to purchase a hand knitted item - Kathy has her creations draped throughout the colorful shop. This is a "Don't Miss" experience!

Wandered in here because it looked interesting. What a gem. The owner is friendly as well as creative and the inventory is incredible. It was a fun stop, got some ideas and loaded up on yarn.

I was looking for someone to help me with my knitting while in San Miguel. I found Kathy's Yarns just 3-4 minute walk from the central cathedral.
Kathy is a very helpful, knowledgeable knitter and creates imaginative knitted scarves, one of a king hats etc at reasonable prices.
If you are interested in taking a class she is amenable, if you are serious about what you are doing.

A jewel box! Kathy designs and makes everything in her store. Hats, scarves, brooches, necklaces, earrings of the highest design and quality. She also sells yarn! This is a Must Visit. And Kathy is a GORGEOUS 80 year old woman with with the look and spunk and verve of a woman who is fully alive.

hi...I bought three colourful skeins of the silk fabric yarn last week and we had a lovely chat about Victoria.
I wrote down which needles to use for either making a cowl or the scarf with the self tassles.But sizes don't seem right. Can you please remind me of the needle sizes and the stitches for each..Thanks so very much...love your shop and help! Margaret from Victoria
