We got to the beach by sailing boat. It is beautiful view and good for snorkeling with a lot different and colorful fishes. The down part is about jellyfish in the water and no signs warning swimmers about it. I got stung really bad while snorkeling.

Great access to beach but the sand was really coarse. Not many people there so that was nice. Lots of boats for excursions were there the day we were so that was a little annoying as the space is small so the boats took up most of the view.

Nice beach. Came for several hours to enjoy the beauty. We’re surprised that there were no public bathrooms (would be hard to make a full day there with young children) also restaurants are only for private villa customers and won’t take beach people.

La mejor playa del corredor turístico de los Cabos, tiene estacionamiento pavimentado con vestidores y baños a la entrada con regaderas al aire libre para quitarse el agua salada, andador pavimentado hasta la playa, botes de basura organizados, oficina de auxilio turístico, salvavidas y más….

Was worth the half day trip, especially if you like snorkelling. My wife preferred Chileno beach, because it was bigger.
We were able to get shade at both locations, without paying for lounge chairs with umbrellas. Go in the morning, and walk to the far right to the rock wall. You will be shaded there, but there is limited space.
We took Uber there, and the public bus back. When taking the bus, just go to the highway and flag down the purple/yellow bus. They are fast! Faster than Uber.

We had a rental car and wanted to visit Santa Maria Beach again. The highway exit is around mile post 12, just look for the exit with the beach name. They have now installed a large paved parking lot along with restrooms and foot shower. As we normally do, we walked to the far right end near the rocks to get into some shade. This end of the cove is great to snorkel and view fish. There are many tour groups that arrive by boat to snorkel here so it does get a bit crowded in the cove.
The only caution I will share is to make sure and bring toilet paper with you when using the bathroom when leaving. The toilet had no toilet paper and was a filthy mess. This beach is so popular it may be hard to keep it stocked and clean with so many tourists using it daily. Just beware.

Wonderful and swimmable beach. We snorkeled here with a sail trip with Cabo Adventures and came back to swim (such a shame one can swim off most of the hotel's beaches in Cabo)
We liked that we could rent chairs and umbrellas. The sand is made up of shells so rough on the feet. The water this time was very murky ( so while we had snorkeled here with the boat and it was amazing, the day we came ourselves was 0 visibility).
We still enjoyed being out and swimming in the ocean.

Want to tan. It's so fast to getting dark naturally, make sure bring sun block otherwise you will get burn and red like a lobster.

Personalmente considero que hay playas más lindas en los cabos. No pienso que sea de las prioritarias por visitar. Si bien, la playa es nadable tiene corrientes muy fuertes y la arena no es precisamente la más suave. No la recomiendo si llevan muchos artículos pues si se tiene que caminar un tramo de 8-10 minutos para llegar a una buena posición en la playa.

This was by far our favorite beach between Santa Maria and Chileno (we still enjoyed Chileno and it's worth visiting). The beach was not crowded (weekday) and was very clean with gentlemen collecting garbage out of the sand throughout the day with their homemade sand scoopers.
The sand was coarse so I do suggest wearing water shoes to walk around the beach or in the water. Also we ended up setting up shop all the way to the right side of the beach where the snorkeling is best. It's a bit of a hike in the sand with all your gear but if you plan on doing lots of Snorkeling i do recommend heading to the far right.
The snorkeling was great, we got to see a great variety of fish, large schools of fish....starfish, loads of sea urchins (large spine and short spined), puffer fish, yellow tailed tangs, parrot fish, angel fish, and several other types.
You can also rent chairs, umbrella and boogie boards, but they won't set it up of bring it for you if you choose to go far away from their post. We did lug all our items to the far right side and came back for the rented items.
Bathrooms were not super clean and didn't have toilet paper so I suggest you bring some and don't forget your shoes for the boardwalk.
There is no food there so bring lots of water, snacks and lunch in a cooler bag.
We had our 2.5 year old toddler with us, and she loved going to that beach. The water also seemed warmer than Chileno beach. The waves were less aggressive and she enjoyed playing in the surf a lot more. We brought buckets and shovels and a light coloured umbrella for entertainment.
I do suggest hat and rashguard (uv shirt) as some of us got bad sunburns from snorkeling. We brought our masks and snorkels (no fines as we forgot them) and it was great.

We are going to Cabo in March with our 5 and 8 year old. I don’t think we will rent a car, any suggestions for traveling and adventure with kids this age? Is it safe?

Walking to this beach is too far from most hotels - take a taxi or Urber - or if you wish the city bus.
Free parking if you drive - families welcome

We're coming to Cabo on a cruise in 2 weeks I've been there before but I want to do something different I keep reading about good snorkeling spots in Santa Maria and Juliano how's the best way to get there and do both of these locations rent snorkeling equipment there??

Agreed forget urber here it’s more like a gypsy cab system - take a regular cab - u may be able to arrange with the driver to return and pick U up. No gear, towels etc. it’s a lovely little local spot- lifeguard on duty. U might be able to rent umbrella too. Bathrooms new and big for changing clothes
The next exit past also has a beach equally nice and equipped the same
I’ve read the walkway at Santa Maria Beach is 5-10 minutes and over a mile long! Can anyone tell me if Santa Maria is significantly longer than Chileno?? I have issues that prevent my walking more than 10-15 minutes at a time. Thank you.
