Where else can you get beautiful merino knitwear, possum products, possum/merino, possum skin fur bed throwovers, possum leather, possum slippers and more? Well here of course, and to top it off you are helping to control the NZ feral possum problem, and probably stopping them becoming "New Zealand's little speed humps". What a plus for everyone but the possums.

This is a very surprising place, not altogether visually appealing from the outside, but once inside the magic begins. As a conservation conscious New Zealander I was really pleased at all the quality garments using the pesky possum, and as I type my feet are snugly and warmly encased in possum fur lined slippers. There are some beautifully designed merino/possum garments and some classic soft cuddly zip collared jackets in a range of pleasing colours. There are many other items for sale, colorful handbags, change purses, - you really have to check these out for yourself. I ordered the aforementioned slippers which were made to measure in the colour of my choice and shipped to me within a week. Highly reccommended

Purchased online, my possum scuffs were accurate in the sizing and promply delivered. Not to mention the COSINESS of the fur. A birthday present to myself. Thanks, Pennie for the easy product swap

Can wearing animal fur and pelts help save our environment? Indeed they can. Since possums were introduced here, they have been chomping through NZ's bush at a great rate, and there are millions and millions of these pests. This place is a gem -- it sells superb possum skin clothes, and the pelts are tanned, dyed, and the clothes are made, right on the premises. The cost is very reasonable for the quality you get. Don't try to order online, you need to go there and choose and be fitted. They have a large stock, all sorts of things in possum as well as merino and deerskin. It is 11 km out of Stratford, towards Mt. Taranaki, so a bit off the beaten track -- but it's a must to visit here. Oh, and very helpful people too. Go there.
