Florencio is the owner and tour guide for Corazon de Colima. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and a very good driver. He knows Colima and surrounding areas very well and organizes excellent tours. His English is very good and he is totally customer oriented. If you are staying in Colima, Manzanillo, Barra de Navidad, Obregon, Melaque or other nearby areas, he can offer you a wonderful tour experience. He will customize his tours at your request. I recommend him highly.

My goal was to familiarize myself with the twin volcanos at Colima for an ongoing project. My Spanish is extremely limited but needed to somehow acquire:
-- history on the volcanos
-- details on their administration
-- details on the science of monitoring them
-- details on accessibility
-- rumors & legends surrounding them
-- general knowledge of plants, wildlife & terrain found at various altitudes
Florencio was the answer !!!
His English is fantastic and I peppered him with question after question for seven hours straight. He answered each and every one of them enthusiastically with a combination of scientific detail and tales of personal experience.
Entertaining and informative !!!
-- history on the volcanos
-- details on their administration

-- details on accessibility
-- rumors & legends surrounding them
-- general knowledge of plants, wildlife & terrain found at various altitudes

I have done two tours with Florencio and he is a great guide. He is passionate about his country and knows some great little spots to stop that I wouldn’t have found on my own. His English is great and he checks in to make sure the tour is going well and we are happy. What more could a traveller ask for?

Mi esposa y yo contratamos 2 tours con Florencio Amezcua el operador de esta agencia de tours y la verdad es que quedamos fascinados por la calidez de Florencio y su conocimiento de los tours en Colima, que nos llevó a ver el Volcán, una plantación y beneficio de café orgánico, La Yerbabuena, y varios sitios mas que me permiten recomendar ampliamente a "Corazón de Colima Tours". !!! BUENA AGENCIA !!!

Genial la atencion y cordialidad de Florencio, tomamos el tour a Comala en el cual el fue ademas de nuestro chofer, nuestro guia de Turista, el transporte en el que nos movimos impecable, durante el tour visitamos la hacienda Nogueras un lugar sin igual lleno de mucha naturaleza y belleza, de alli fuimos al centro de Comala y nos llevo a un lugar donde se tuesta el cafe, una panaderia y una tienda de Ponche, terminamos el tour comiendo en el famoso restaurante Don Comalon.
Sin duda te recomiendo hacer el tour Con Corazon de Colima Tours

Florencio was an amazing guide! My friend and I (along with another family of 4) had an opportunity get a great view of the volcán de fuego, enjoyed a tasty breakfast with Florencio at a small restaurant along the road up to the volcano, visited a tranquil lake, learned about coffee production at Cafe Colimotl, enjoyed an amazing cup of coffee and local pastries, explore the quaint and magical city of Comala... and had the unexpected privilege of seeing the culmination of the assembly at la Petatera, the largest bull fighting arena that is rebuilt every year for the fiestas. The excursion was so great, I went on a second trip the following day to Cuyutlán, and visited the turtle sanctuary, mangler, el malecón and had a delicious lunch with Florencio and other guests with an ocean view. He once again, went beyond what I expected; at the turtle sanctuary our small group joined a larger one to witness the release of turtles that had just hatched. It was breathtaking!!! I felt like a VIP everywhere I went. I highly recommend this business!

Colima es un lugar tranquilo, ideal para descansar y conocer el lugar. La gente es atenta y muy amable. Mi amiga preguntó en el hotel por algún tour recomendable y en seguida nos dieron la información de Florencio, nos gustó y ellos mismos lo contactaron por nosotras. En media hora pasó a recogernos y la magia comenzó.
Florencio es agradable, sencillo y sabe hacer su trabajo increíblemente! Toma su tiempo, explica todo claramente... lo mejor de todo es que aunque ya tiene programadas las visitas y paradas, puedes tomar tu tiempo para ver, conocer, tomar fotos, probar productos locales, etc. No te presiona para seguir con el itinerario.
¡Muchas gracias a Florencio por su dedicación! :)
Florencio es agradable, sencillo y sabe hacer su trabajo increíblemente! Toma su tiempo, explica todo claramente... lo mejor de todo es que aunque ya tiene programadas las visitas y paradas, puedes tomar tu tiempo para ver, conocer, tomar fotos, probar productos locales, etc. No te presiona para seguir con el itinerario.

Florencio Quiroz was our guide. Very knowledgeable. Great English. Yes been climbing the Colama Volcano for 40+ years. Has seen eruptions of its active neighbor. He expertly lead us to the top answering my thousands of questions about the area, mountains and his life. I would recommend searching him out for a tour of the 14K mountain or other things in the area.

What an amazing tour of many of the cultural places in Colima! The tour was very personalized with great conversations with Florencio. Tours are bilingual and safe. A must visit for visitors!
