The rates are high but the zoo is superb!
Nevertheless, there is one detail that I did not appreciate at all, at the end of the visit I needed to change my baby and I kindly asked the cleaning lady who was cleaning the toilet if I could access it, she said "can't it wait?" Obviously I was bothering her with her cleaning, and it wasn't closing time yet. So I had to change my baby outside while it was dark and cold.
I consider that for the price and since it was a baby, she could wait 5 minutes.
This is very unfortunate given the level of this zoo.

A nice surprise both for the visit of the zoo, very well maintained as that of the instructive castle. You don't suspect such a large space near the castle

Really great zoo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The zoo is really well laid out so you can see all the wonderful animals. All the animals looked healthy and happy and there was a huge range to see from tigers, lions, giraffes to reindeer, anteaters and cheetahs. There are lots of opportunities to see feeding time and there is a great bird and dog show too.
This was a really pleasant surprise for us. We didn’t expect much going in, but we all had an amazing day out. The bouncy castles and play park in front of the beautiful chateau was also great. Our 3 year old son absolutely loved it and we left with three new sticks!!!
The cafe was good value and served a range of sandwiches and paninis etc

Great zoo and castle. Everything was very well maintained. There was also a nice picnic meadow and a playground there. The excursion is also possible in summer, as there is plenty of shade.

Nous avons adoré !
Zoo superbe, avec de beaux animaux et de superbes explications. Les girafes devant le château, superbe ! Nous n'avons pas eu le temps de visiter le château mais avons pu flâner dans les jardins.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié les spectacles. L'idée que la lisière de la forêt serve de "rideau de scène" est une superbe idée ! Les soigneuses des spectacles sont disponibles et agréables.
Par contre, au snack du Zoo, 15€ pour 2 Magnum et 2 canettes... ça fait cher !
Le parc est très propre et très grand, il y a du monde mais cela ne se ressent pas du tout.

Un grand merci pour votre avis que nous allons partager avec toute l’équipe.
Quant à la restauration, nous avons conservé la même marge interne depuis 2021… Notre volonté pour ce pôle Restauration/Snacking composé de 20 collaborateurs en saison (dont deux cuisiniers et une cheffe de salle) est de proposer une offre de qualité, avec de bons produits ; et cela a un coup, que nous essayons d’optimiser le mieux possible.
Ravi que vous ayez passé un agréable moment à La Bourbansais.

For young and old, a walk in a pleasant place among animals.
Nice proposal to discover the heritage.
Having not had time to visit the castle, if our steps lead us back to the area, we will not hesitate to return.

The grounds and the zoo are lovely - accessible, family friendly, easy to walk around. Everything is very tidy and kept in great condition. Animals seem to be clean and happy. We visited this zoo 5 years ago and we can see lots of improvements which is always a good sign.
The area with bouncy castles and a coffee shop is superb. The whole place has a nice relaxing vibe. We loved it during our first visit in 2019, and in 2024 it was even better. The best zoo out of 5 zoos we’ve seen in France in the last few years.
The only thing to be aware of (as with any zoo these days) is the cost… We brought lunch with us (plenty of space for a family picnic!) but between the tickets, coffee &ice-creams, and small teddies as souvenirs for the kids we spent €200 Euro.

We are delighted that you had a good time at La Bourbansais, And that you noticed all the new features and improvements made since your last visit.
The strategy put in place for the sustainability of our family home in order to pass it on to the next generation (the twentieth) is quality and innovation.
This involves many investments each year both for the Monument and for our animals and gardens (We reinvest 12 to 15% of our turnover each year).
We are well aware that coming to visit La Bourbansais represents a significant budget for families and this is why we do everything we can to ensure that the visiting experience is impeccable and of quality.
Thank you for participating through your visits in the maintenance of such a Historic Monument and its activities.

We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful this attraction is. We felt completely immersed in wonder of nature and enjoyed admiring the animals in the green and serene scenery. Highlights include the bird of prey show - impressive display, the flamingos, the walk-through pond area with birds, the castle gardens and the quality landscaping throughout. The kids also loved the playground and inflatables.

Visited with our 2 year old child. Excellent day out. Great selection of animals. Can buy some popcorn to feed farm animals, play area, walk through enclosures. Really enjoyed our visit. Will go again if holiday again in the region.

Il n'y a pas de salon de thé mais il y a un restaurant avec un snack ou sur l'air de jeux il y a un coin pour se restaurer

I have checked the website for the opening hours and it is open but not all day. It's from 1.30pm to 5.30pm from 28 sept.

I think you can get a bus, it will probably go to the town of pleugeneuc which is where the park is. You should contact the tourist office in St.Malo to double check. Or look on line for the info.
