This has been the most unfriendly and unwelcoming temple I have ever visited. Told to come on saturday morning when they deal with westerners!!!

El estilo arquitectónico no es excepcionalmente llamativo; tiene unas esculturas de leones o perros típica, y unas horripilantes que parecen arañas gigantes. No pretendo conocer las costumbres budistas, pero me chocó ver que tenía un cartel improvisado diciendo "lunch - buffet".

Se trata de un lugar diferente que normalmente no se puede visitar, aunque uno se puede unir a sus meditaciones los miercoles por la tarde y a sus rezos y comidas los domingos. Ahí es cuando se pueden ver las distintas manifestaciones de sus dioses

It's fascinating to see such a huge Buddhist monastery right in the middle of downtown Calgary. The building has grown over the years and it is quite stunning, a great addition to the downtown community. On my recent visit, I see their $9.99 lunch sign is still up, and I'm now very interested in trying this out. I also noticed they have some serious modern art on the east side of their property, so there's something here for the art lover too!

Рекомендую выделить на это место время. В городе есть множество разных церквей и храмов, есть там и Буддийский монастырь. Вообще, здание само по себе не очень бросается в глаза, мы прошлись по храму, довольно интересно, вообще храм довольно скромный, но можно понять, такая история у него.

If you are in town for a short visit, this is a all-in-one stop! The vegetarian lunch was incredible. It was definitely restaurant caliber. The type of cuisine ranged from Malaysian, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese and American. I was pleasantly surprised to see a huge selection of bagels! There is a veggie buffet on Sept. 10, 2016 - mark your calendar! The monastery itself is impressive architecturally. It is still in the process of being expanded. The grand re-opening ceremony is scheduled for September 2017. The Buddhist nuns were helpful and very patient in responding to questions. It is amazing that many of them are fluent in several languages. It is literally located by Bow River. You can easily walk over the bridge to Kensington or stroll along the river trails. I strongly recommend a visit!
