Awesome time on a beautiful river! Just enough rapids to make it fun and a little bit wet. We hope they can recover from the devastating wildfire that destroyed a large part of Jasper.

My family and I went on the Athabasca Falls/Canyon run with guides Fred, Isacc, Jonah, and Shane. All the guides were great and kept everything entertaining. Our specific boat guide, Fred, was a wealth of knowledge and taught us a lot of history during our run. My two kids (both under 10 years) had an amazing time. They had huge smiles on their faces and were laughing a lot when getting splashed (they were seated in the front).

We were able to book the 2 hr ride the day before after seeing the rafts float down the river when we got to town. It was so much fun, nice to be on the water and Josh was excellent—very entertaining! Wish we would’ve done the more adventurous, longer float.

We had some past experience with white water but it had been a while. We did the Sunwapta River trip, class 3 rapids, and had a blast. Gorgeous scenery, thrilling but manageable waters, hard work and great fun. All of the guides work together to keep everyone safe and make sure everyone has a good time. Andy inspired confidence, taught us well, and kept us laughing all at the same time. Only regret is that the next day we had to leave Jasper, headed south on the Icefield Parkway and did the hike to explore Sunwapta Falls; I didn't tip Andy near enough!

Brilliant experience with amazing guides. We had Fred who was a gentleman. Full of knowledge and made it lots of fun for us. The driver David put my mind at ease. Great crew and so well organised. Don’t leave without giving it a go you won’t regret it.

Our guide was friendly, informative, humorous, and made us all excited about our adventure. It was our first time and it was amazing! He told us when to paddle, and when to stop. He let us get out and swim in the Athabasca River in the swimming hole. He helped me get back into the raft afterwards when I had trouble. All the guides, and our bus driver were professional, and supportive, teaching us how to get in our wetsuits, putting us in our rafting groups, and making sure we all had a safe, fun adventure. I can't wait to go again with them!

Absolutely incredible experience! I went with my fiance, sister in law and her partner and we all had varying levels of experience rafting! The crew were very knowledgeable and SUPER funny which added a ton of enjoyment to the experience! We felt very safe and well taken care of, and were blown away at the beauty of the views. We would 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be back in the future! Thanks Seba, Niall, Kirstin and Ameer!!!

The views were amazing and we had the best time. Tyler was our guide and he was full of good info about the river and was constantly pointing out the really cool things along the river! Would highly recommend this raft trip! Thank you all so much for such a great day!!

Can not recommend enough! Our guide Annaja was incredible and so insightful, talking us through facts about Canada whilst we were going down the river. Great equipment and all ran on time.

Hi, if we take the 3-hour Athabasca rafting trip 9am, thereafter, will it be tiring to drive back to Edmonton ?

It is quite a relaxing trip actually, and the load is shared by 5 other people on the raft, and you only have to row at certain spots. Only thing you might to deal with is the cold or "refreshing" water as they call it. We actually felt quite refresh after the trip.

Hello,
The minimum age for our Athabasca River trips is 5 years old. This age limit is set moreso because of enjoyment than safety. Because there is no opportunity to end a trip early, except in an emergency, if a child is scared, cold, or just not enjoying themselves, they are stuck on the raft for the remainder of the trip which is no fun for them, or the other people in the boat.
That being said, if you are confident that your son will enjoy the trip, we may be able to make an exception for the Mile 5 if he is close to the age of 5 at the time of the trip. Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi, the wife and I are visiting Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Vancouver in June of next year, we would love to go white water rafting while were in Canada, could you recommend where and about how much this would cost us please, we have never done this before, and also what run should we consider,

Hi! We bought a package that included the rafting and the skytram ($108.00 per person).We did a Class II rapid, this is a 3 hr round trip that includes about 1 1/2 hr on the Canyon section of the Athabasca River, they pick up the guest in town for a 30 minute bus drive, there is a safety talk and then you change into a dry suit(provided). We did this in Jasper with Jasper Rafting adventures, it is a great experience, hope you both enjoy it. You can use the site of skytram to read and buy your tickets.

trying to decide between the Athabasca Falls class 2 run & the Sunwapta class 3 run for a complete first timer wanting a bit of adventure but not a near death experience! don't want to spend all my time floating down river but neither do i want to be spending any of my time IN the water! any info on experiences greatly appreciated & info on water conditions & weather for early august

Class 3 is fine for beginners. Falling out of the raft is pretty rare on any of our trips. Historically speaking water levels and weather are great around early August! We hope to see you on the river soon.
