Had some specific questions about a particular attraction in New Westminster. Represenatative did not know, but found out what I needed to know.
I notice no one has commented since I was last here. Perhaps the visitor's bureau also needs some advertising.

Was to meet a colleague in the Anvil Centre lobby, which is where the tourism bureau is located. As I was a bit early, thought I'd drop by and see if there were any changes since my last visit. No one at the counter, which surprised me, given the number of people in the lobby - looked like a break in a conference or some such. In any event, the representative was found, and gave a good account of herself. She did admit to being in "learning mode", and relied heavily on the rack of pamphlets.
I got the impression from her eagerness to assist that she meant what she said about learning everything there is to know about New Westminster, and I suspect that, in the near future, New Westminster will rival Vancouver in this regard. Tourists, please drop by soon and see if I'm correct. Just across the street from the Skytrain station.

New Westminster Tourism office in scenic British Columbia has lots of helpful advice, it is the only pavillion we have visited so far with paid parking. Maybe they have designed it with foot traffic in mind not vehicle travellers.

its brand new building does not seem to match the older historical building from the 1900's but it is interesting, lots of paid parking nearby and average restaurants close by

Impressed by the previous review, thought I better go by and see what they had to offer. Dropped by early on a weekday afternoon. No one there! The person sitting close by, but with other responsibilities, tried to help, but was unable to answer my questions. No sign saying "back in ten minutes" or any such thing. So, after perusing the pamphlet rack for a while, left none the wiser. Maybe those responsible for this service should visit Vancouver, and see how it's done properly.
