The Canopy Walk is not in Queen Elizabeth Park. It is part of the University of British Columbia's Botanical Garden. While you are at the university, enjoy the Museum of Anthropology!

Early June is a great time to visit QE Park. It can take as long as you want. Free activities include enjoying the City views, hanging around the water fountains, walking around around the old quarry which is now a beautiful garden, visit the Rose garden (not sure the roses will be there early June though), admire the trees and play tennis (if you have a raquet and balls). There is an admission fee for the Bloedel Conservatory and the mini golf (clubs and balls can be borrowed here). It is close to the Van Dusen garden where you can walk around the gardens too.

Yes. Anna's Hummingbirds are year-round residents of the entire city, regardless of snow or cold in winter. Rufous Hummingbirds arrive in Vancouver at the end of March, and stay into August. If the hummingbird you see has "apricot" colour on it—orange-ish—then it is a Rufous; not an Anna's. (A couple of other species are very rare here.) You need not go to QE Park to see hummingbirds, but in May especially it is an ideal place to visit early in the mornings to discover the "fall-out" of migrating warblers from the night before. Highly recommended. Good luck.
