A Vancouver Must Do!

Kate was GREAT! Not only did we learn a ton about Vancouver and Gastown, but had some great treats along the way! Eight locations to munch at seems like a lot, but they really did a nice job to keep the portion sizes in check. Opened with a beer, had 4 foods, including Japanese chicken, Italian tortellini, English meat and potatoes (Putin- not the asswipe in Russia), and a vegan chicken wing. Finished with 3 deserts that were all tasty treats.

Very much enjoyed meeting everyone (12 others) on this tour. Kate did a very nice job keeping our attention and delighting us with tidbits about Gastown, Vancouver and Canada. She just finished acting school and delivered an Oscar winning performance after only being on the job for 3 weeks (never would have known). Highly recommend the entertaining educational foodie tour!

Gastown walking tour
Had a great walking tour, food was wonderful at all stops!! Our highlights were the pasta, vegan cauliflower wings, ice cream and the cheesecake. Everyone gave all restaurants thumbs up!! Guide was friendly and kept our group of 14 together and on schedule. It’s
a great way to get a bit of history of the area and enjoy some wonderful restaurants that we will definitely visit again! Thanks Maria for arranging the tour and answering all questions, you are the best!

Excellent tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Dan was very knowledgeable, funny, and great at making sure everyone was included. The food and drinks we tried were delicious, and it moved at a pace that made sure we didn’t feel rushed but were able to make it to many different places. I highly recommend this tour!

Very Pleasant Way to Explore Gastown

We just got back from our afternoon with Sean, Zach and Connor.

I'm exhausted but in such a good way. We had a really nice, albeit cold, afternoon walking around Gastown enjoying the sights, food, sounds and history of the area. The guys did a great job telling us about each location and the area it was in. We learned lots of interesting things about this part of Vancouver that we have not really explored. It was worth every penny.

We didn't have a bad bite or sip at any of the locations we visited. We aren't feeling overstuffed at all, just pleasantly full. That's a nice thing about this tour. We definitely got our steps in today as well.

Thanks again.
Highly recommend this tour as a way to find out a bit more about Gastown and eat some good things too.

Fun (and yummy) way to learn about Gastown

The Gastown Food Tour was a wonderful way to learn about Vancouver and the Gastown neighborhood while also trying out some great bars and restaurants — we actually went back to one of the stops for dinner, and recommended some of the other places to others we were traveling with.

Our tour guide, Jason, was great, too — he was knowledgeable and entertaining.

Vi havde en rigtig god eftermiddag med vores guide, Dan (the man), og de seks andre deltagere. Dan fortalte engageret om Gastown og de steder vi besøgte.

It was a great afternoon, the food was lovely and though each portion seemed small, over the afternoon it became very filling and all were delicious. Chirag, our guide was funny, informative and very helpful. A great way to learn a little history of an area

We’re so glad we booked this tour! Our guide Dan was great. Very knowledgeable about Vancouver’s history as well as the various foods and beverages we enjoyed. This was a highlight of our stay!

Informative tour with delicious food

Even though I am new to Vancouver and now live here, I didn't know the history. It was interesting to hear all about the history of Vancouver and Gastown. The food was delicious. However, the portions were small. Really liked the Italian dish mini tortellini at Brioche. We had Jason as a tour guide and he lived in Gastown for over 20 years and talked a lot about the city and Gastown.

Wouldn’t repeat

Lots of history about the street and area which was interesting but quite a bit less info/history about the food we were eating. Felt more like a tour that happened to have snacks rather than a food tour. Samples were pretty small. We’ve done 10 or more food tours in various countries and this is the ONLY tour that we have finished and been hungry afterward. It may have helped if there was more main/app type of foods, rather than half of the tasting being desserts (a total of 3 desserts out of 7 tastings)
