We ended up canceling this event after we walked through town to get to it. It was so disturbing to see the active drug use block after block around the place to start. It greatly disturbed my child and we had to go back to our hotel. Disappointed we couldn’t do it, but even more disappointed in the location that’s picked to start.

Here is some more information about the start location for anyone else reading this review. The start location for this booking was directly across the street from another popular tourist attraction, (the Vancouver Lookout) and very close to the convention centre, cruise ship terminals and the Gastown steam clock. These are popular tourist destinations. The game booked, Secret Mission, takes players through the downtown shopping and business centre of Vancouver past the Vancouver Art Gallery, the Bill Reid Museum and the Marine Building.

Really fun game, especially if you can get a small group together. Very well organized and a fun challenge. Clues are challenging, but solvable. We had great fun racing around the city for 2 hours trying to solve all the clues.

The “Secret Mission” was VERY challenging (there were several times you had to think through several of the clues so that we could figure out how they all linked together), and the mission also helped us to see many neat things and buildings around downtown Vancouver. We temporarily saved Vancouver, but…because we ran out of time and we did not figure out exactly who Blackout was, they could come back at any time and attack again. Good agents will be needed to defeat them.

Very friendly customer service. I really appreciated the proactive gesture from Vancouver Murder Mystery Adventure to resolve the issue even before my asking for any help. Thank you. We will join the murder mystery game next time when the weather is nicer.

It was such a fun experience and harder than I expected but still solvable too. Suitable for everyone. And it was great to be walking about outside for the adventure too!

My spouse loves these kinds of events so I organized it with our family. We had a great time running around solving the puzzles. In fact we plan to try some of their other adventures in the future

How long does it take on average to complete a mystery? I'd like to reserve a small group of 6, though am trying to schedule or day.

I am coming from Australia in November, was wondering what is the minimum number of people you'll need to participate? It is only my boyfriend and I going to Vancouver. I also don't know much about Canada, my boyfriend is Canadian though, so will I have trouble solving anything? Also how much in advance do you have to book?

Hi Lilian, thank you for your interest in our games!
We agree with Charlene614 - no prior knowledge of Canada or Vancouver is required. Each game comes with a map, and takes you to parts of the city that even many locals might not know about!
The minimum team size is 2 players - you can book a 2 player game right on our website (we have games leaving every 15 minutes every day of the week). The website allows you to book from 3 months in advance to 18 hours in advance.

Is there any age cutoff? Can kids age 8-10 participate?
Also- we have a group of 12-14 depending which day we would do this (in July)- would it be a private group and how many teams would it be?

Thank you for your inquiry! We do not have an official age cutoff, our only requirement is that each team of minors be accompanied by an adult. Crime in Downtown is a murder investigation and may not be considered suitable for young children but our new spy game Secret Mission will be available in July.
Games of more than 5 players are private groups - at group of 12-14 players would work out to a game of 3-4 teams competing against each other.
