The tours for fall and winter runs every Friday at 11 am and 2 pm. Appointment required.

Note: I didn't go in, I just walked around. The building is very impressive and beautiful. Sculptures are present around the building. It's a short walk from the Manitoba Art Gallery. A beautiful fountain in front of the building allows you to rest during an exploration.

Marit was an excellent tour guide. We called ahead, but they were not a lot of people for today’s 2 PM tour. The tour lasted 1 1/4 hours. We were taken through the building, one of the legislative rooms, the legislative assembly room and other spaces. Please give me a like if you would like this review. Please look for my reviews of other Winnipeg attractions, as well as attractions in many cities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and Asian countries

Free Friday tour without the need to reserve. Very informative guide providing good historical info through storytelling.
Enjoyed the Nelly McClung's famous 5 statues on the legislative grounds.

The Manitoba Legislative Building access is by appointments only. Tours have to be booked in advance. Scheduled: Monday - Friday business hours (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Closed on weekends. Parking: staff only.

When we visited, there seems to be a stay-in protest at the legislature grounds. That concerned me about my safety, but there were patrols around the building though. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of the building as the fences ruined the view.
However, the rear side made a good compromise, complete with the Riel statue at the riverbank. The access to the river was closed sadly. Apparently they offer hourly tours of the interior, but I wasn't able to attend due to lack of time. But nice to see the great architecture and the highlight, the Golden Boy, regardless.

Since my husband is disabled and can't walk on the uneven ground, he needed to park and stay in the car bu I was able to walk around the whole building to see all the magnificent statues and greenery. The river walk was under water so we couldn't do that beautiful walk. The Queen Victoria had been pulled down so I was able to see only the pedestal.

Nous avons la visite guidée des jardins du parlement avec des étudiantes francophiles de l'université St-Boniface. Pour l'instant, les visites à l'intérieur de l'édifice sont suspendues.
Comme en Saskatchewan, nous avons trouvé cette construction immense, pour la population de la province. Toutefois, la construction est très belle, avec plusieurs éléments curieux, qui nous avons vu lors de la visite avec les guides.
En arrière de l'édifice on voit une fontaine et la statue de Louis Riel, qui semble regarder la rivière.
Devant l'édifice il y avait des drapeaux oranges et des mains rouges, représentant le sang qui a coulé des enfants retrouvés morts un peu partout au pays.
Chaque enfant compte!

Un incontournable dans la ville de Winnipeg, un établissement patrimonial parlementaire . Édifice imposant et élégant, la propreté des lieux est remarquable. À cause de la Covid, fermé pour visiteurs depuis 2020. Je suis certain que l’intérieur est aussi raffiné que l’extérieur.

Para fotografiar el edificio y las esculturas aledañas, como la de la reina Victoria. Otras figuras lucen de noche, pues están hechas de lamparillas. Frente a la parte trasera hay un parque donde se acumulan varias esculturas de osos polares, cada una pintada diferente, y un tótem.

Is the building still open daily for self-guided tours? I have read contradictory information on various sites, so wasn't sure, but really hope to see the inside of the building! Thank you in advance!

Hello! you do not need to pay money to take wedding photos, but you do need to make a reservation to take photos inside. You can make the reservation online, follow the links for events requests on the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba website, or by calling (205) 945-0102.

Absolutely! As other posters have said, the building is open every day from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm for self-guided tours.
Also, from July 1 - Labour day in September, we offer FREE hourly tours, every hour on the hour, with the first tour leaving at 9:00 am and the last tour leaving at 4:00 pm.
