King’s Square Park is a charming and well-maintained park situated conveniently near the St. John Market. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful meal under the shade of the trees, as the park provides benches and tables for their convenience. This park holds rich historical significance as a monument to Samuel Leonard Tilley, a prominent advocate of the Confederation of British North America. Additionally, it features a memorial to the "Glorious Dead," commemorating those who lost their lives during the Great War, in Korea, and Afghanistan.

Nice park area directly outside city market. Lot of homeless in park as most cities today. Walkable to town and cruise port.

It was a nice park, but I don’t know if I would frequent it solo. Beautiful fountain and some historical statues. A beautiful historical cemetery in across the street.

Walked through a couple of times and drove round it even more. Statues abound but most impressive is the old bandstand in the middle.

King's Square is a little park with a neighboring ancient cemetery. The park only takes a few minutes to walk through, but you can sit and relax on a bench if you choose. The centerpiece is the Victorian gazebo!

King's Square is such a great place to hang out with some ice cream or local take out. There are many places to sit and eat, people watch, & enjoy the sun!
The City of Saint John has put out their wooden benches for the summer. The Uptown Saint John BIA table & chair sets are also out for the summer & have been given a bright refresh!

Arrived about 15:00 on a Sunday as part of a road trip around Nova-Scotia.
Nicely kept park but I didn’t feel safe because of the panhandlers and inebriated people mouthing it off. Probably best to go in the morning as others have said.

Beautiful park with impressive monuments and other statuary, an attractive pavilion, nice landscaping, and city views. Being the end of May, the flowers and trees were almost in full bloom. There were several lone men wandering the park but they didn't bother anyone.

Gray area to stroll the grounds. Very safe and easy walk on the cruise port. We have a new opportunities here as well and was great from historical perspective reading the statue/plaque

This park is a nice green space but the panhandlers made it impossible to just sit and enjoy a break.
