When it comes down to service, we pride ourselves in a love for wine, creating an extraordinary experience and sharing knowledge that comes with it. I am truly sorry that you were left with the impression that our wine consultant had little knowledge of the wine. When it comes to the coupons, first and foremost our policy is to take the coupon initially as we do track each and everyone one. We give out these coupons to our local Bed and Breakfast owners without cost, allowing for guests visiting the area to come out and give our Niagara wines a try. While we hope that incoming guests will fall in love with what they taste, and end up taking bottles home, it is not our expectation. Since their is no incurring cost for coupons and given the current regulation we work with in Ontario, our policy is to not give back coupons. Ontario has quite stringent regulation on 'wine designated' stores. In accordance with our licence, we can only pour a maximize of 'three wine tastings in a day per customer' (four ounces), which results in a strict policy surrounding the use of coupons. It becomes difficult to adhere to this legal requirement, when coupons are returned (especially on a busier weekend). Once again, I truly apologize for your negative experience at our store, and I do hope you enjoyed the bottles you purchased. It is sad to hear to would never go back. When it comes to the coupon policy, I do hope I have provided information for why we have those policies in place. Thank you alsupremo for taking the time to write us in a review. While we do represent Peller, Trius, Wayne Gretzky, and Thirty Bench, all of the Ice Wine prices are fixed to the LCBO. In all of Ontario, wineries that sell their products in the LCBO must comply with fair and equal pricing. For example, if we have a 3- pack of Ice Wine carried in the LCBO, the price will be identical. This is in accordance with the legal framework of the province. Ice Wine prices tend to vary considerably between the varietals used. Yield and growing conditions between the varietals are just a couple factors that effect the crop, and thus the final consumer pricing. Vidal is abundantly used for Ice Wine in Niagara, and therefore tends to have a lower price point, than the Riesling and Cabernet Franc Ice Wines. A standard Ice Wine bottle is 375mL. However we also offer 200mL, and even 50mL. Prices range from $27.95- 65.00 for our 200ml Ice Wines, and $62.95-105.95 for our 375mL. For example for a 200mL Vidal in our store, the price can range from $27.95-47.95 depending on each production method used by the wine maker.
