We found these trails by accident and were thrilled. It is a beautiful spot with a number of different trails of varying lengths. All are fairly easy trails.

It was a beautiful day to walk in Laurier Woods Conservation Area. We saw birds, beaver dam and chipmunks.

Kudos to the great people who maintain the trails. Signage is good and the trails wind through a variety of stands and ecosystems. The odd view of civilisation here and there but worth the light hike in the heart of North Bay.

Well groomed easy trail, a few options available to change up the loop.
Very nice space, minus the city sounds of the highway and heavy equipment operating close by.

What a gem! There are lots of interconnected trails of varying lengths and difficulties to enjoy. The area offers a variety of scenery from lakes to rugged bedrock outcrops. The main paths are mostly level ground which makes them easy for casual hikers to enjoy. The trails can be accessed from a variety of entry points around central North Bay. Wildlife is in abundance: squirrels, birds, chipmunks, etc. I was also lucky enough to catch a family of beavers going about their daily routine.

The Interpretive trails map, provided at the entrance, turns an ordinary woodland walk into a journey of discovery. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed a pleasant afternoon here, apart from the biting flies, which made a meal of us. Just make sure you use insect repellent to avoid being bitten.

Th trails here are well marked. There is a complimentary map on loan at the entrance. The trail can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on which loops you choose to hike. There are lookout points and benches. There are lots of birds in this forest area, wetlands and boardwalks. This is a hidden gem. This is a "must do" for a family vacation. There is no admission fee and you cannot get lost!

Having become familiar with Laurier Woods, I can say the walk is safe and easy accessible. Noticing the many plans, trees and wildlife its easy to leave behind the stresses of everyday living. Laurier Woods is always a pleasant outing for a light casual hike.

Laurier Woods consiste en un sentier charmant et agréable sans embuches en plein centre de la ville de North Bay. On y traverse plusieurs genre de faunes, au ses débuts on suit une rivière, puis la forêt ainsi qu'une section marécageuse. Superbe et changeant de saison en saison.

This is a great place to take a walk and enjoy nature the way God intended it to be. Many trails of varying lengths to meet the whole families needs. Beautiful scenery and relaxing quiet in the heart of the city.

Bikes are allowed, though I would say some of the trails might not be suitable, also you would miss a lot.
Is this trail toddler friendly? Can I use a stroller?

It is an easy trail for a toddler to walk. As for a stroller, I'm not overly familiar with newer stroller so i cannot be sure however in my opinion it would be manageable but not easy in certain spots since ground does shift and get wet, there are turns and rocks/branches. IT is not like walking on a sidewalks, roads or bike paths. I would think a toddler who is walking would do fine and enjoy it but a large stroller could be abit cumbersome
