I drive a bus for a seniors residence and we visited on a Sunday drive. The staff were exceptional! They allowed us to bring the bus closer to the museum entrance to help those with mobility issues, thank you!! It was a hot day and and they shared freezies with us :) We very much enjoyed our visit and I recommend this beautiful historic site and will return again to better visit with my family. Admission is by donation. Well done!

Beautiful park to walk in. Museum was open. Several spots you could get down to the water. There were a few Picnic tables, BBQ's and benches scattered though the park. We were told that the point was off limits. There were lots of signs that said Poison Ivy(showed picture of it) was everywhere. So instead of enjoying the scenery and water alot of the time you were looking for Poison Ivy.

Our daughter used this site for her June 2018 wedding. Staff was very easy to work with and everything was set up exactly as we had requested.

Beautifully maintained grounds, both inside and out. City of Ottawa staff were on site, to offer us some history as well as some direction while visiting the grounds. Beautiful views of the Ottawa River, with plenty of space to enjoy a pic-nic or leisurely stroll. Restroom facilities on-site. A wonderful spot, to visit again and again!

After father's day breakfast we paid a visit to this historic sight on a pleasant day, The buildings from "another time" were well preserved and the gardens maintained in pristine condition. The scenery viewed from the buildings, overlooking the river, added to a most meaningful and pleasant visit.

As I was the visitor, my family decided this would be a nice place for me to check out. The drive down to this location was peaceful and quiet. We passed by large single family homes on large acreages. It happened to be trash day and commented that it was a long walk from the houses to the main road; we all wondered if the residents enjoyed the same walk in the snow. We turned onto the road for Pinhey's Point, parked, and walked to the historic buildings. The first door we came upon was locked, then the second, third, and fourth. So much for the indoor experience. We stayed within the vicinity of the building, walked along a path and then down to the dock. On this lazy, breezy day, the water glistened against the sun. We stayed for a while, enjoying the scenery, and then headed back. Maybe they'll be open next time.

This is a great summer BBQ picnic park that is not very busy. It is located just off Sixth line in the Dunrobin area. Great outdoor spot for a walk, picnic or use the bathroom and shower facilities if you're on a boat in the bay. Maybe propose or get married there in the summer. Nice little museum gives a historical perspective on the settlers of the area. Very scenic view of the Ottawa river. Nice dock system in a beautiful bay of the OTTAWA river which is located at the foot of the property. Many sailboats moored in the bay during the season.
BBQ pits available. No food available on-site though. Swimming is not permitted from the docks. Rocky shoreline.

Pinhey’s Point, along the Ottawa River, is an historic site with a 200-year old manor house, some other buildings, and ruins of other buildings. The area is also a park, with a playground area, and a boat pier. I was out of season so unable to visit the museum in the house itself. It's a beautiful and serene spot, with some good signage explaining the history. There is not a lot of parking that I could see -- two small lots, but there may have been a larger one I did not know about.

Great for picnics and photos. Very scenic views of the river and they have a small playground for the kids. Museum is only open from May to August but there are special events from time to time

Vieux manoir non restauré à 100%, donc il a encore sa saveur d'antan, ce qui est bien. Grand terrain.
Si vous passez par Ottawa, ce n'est qu'à 30 minutes du centre-ville.
Visite par nous-mêmes. Pas d'explication ni animation.

Hi there
Looking at coming to your resort in January some time. We are wanting to take my cousin with us who has a severe peanut and nut allergy. Cross contamination is also a big issue. I'm wondering if you have dealt with people coming to your resort that have severe peanut and nut allergies and how would we go about getting her to feel safe and the chefs to know about this situation?

Hi Katarina, I think you may have mixed us up with some place else. Pinhey's Point is a museum and historic site in Dunrobin, not a resort. We'd love for you to come and visit us before the summer is out though!
