HIghly recommended for families. We took our 5-year old grandson and we all enjoyed it. The actors brought humour, action, and a wonderful way of managing kids on holiday. People may think the experience needs more activities for the kids but there's very little space on the dock or on the boat, so we felt the actors did the best they could with the space and time available. The staff also called us - phoned us! - 2 days later to follow-up and ask us for feedback. We were so impressed. Well done to all the staff involved!

My family joined the crew August 17th. This is a great activity for a family with young children and/pirate lovers. Great interactive improvisation with a few surprises, all with a view of the beautiful Toronto shore line. Appreciated the emphasis on safety.

Not what you would expect from notorious pirates! They actually rescued me from certain death at the stormy seas of Hamilton Harbour after a failed fuel pump left me stranded over night. With hardly a boater in sight due to the rainy conditions, there were my only hope! Praise God and kudos to a fantastic crew!!

This is not just people entertaining your kids for an hour - this is an interactive, full-on performance worthy of any theatre. The staff are professional actors, very skilled and SO funny!
The show changes constantly - ranging from games and sword fights to an evil (funny not scary) pirate boarding the ship later to be chased away by the kids using water cannons attached to the ship. Your kids will love this, but the adults in the group also will be entertained and laugh from beginning to end. Best family performance I have ever seen

Fun activity for the kids, especially under 5. My 4 year and old and 2 year old loved it. My 6 year old girl was not so in to it. I did get a bit sea sick!

We thoroughly enjoyed the voyage with the pirates! My almost 10 year old was the oldest child in our group by several years and he still had fun. The staff were all very charismatic and engaging, and worked hard to include everyone in the story. They were in character from the moment we arrived until we left.
The land acknowledgement at the beginning was beautifully and thoughtfully done, and having us all repeat the names of some of the historical tribes in the area was a nice touch.
One bit of advice I have is to find a bathroom before you arrive. I know that should go without saying, but after taking an Uber downtown or walking the harbour front to reach the pirate ship, your only bathroom options are the Loblaws a few blocks away, some questionable porta potties nearby, or the airport bathrooms that we never did figure out how to get to. Just plan for it is all. Don’t get caught unaware. 😉

We thoroughly enjoyed our pirate life experience. The boat, scenery and water cannons were the highlight. The pirates worked very hard putting on a show for us and it was entertaining. We would have perhaps enjoyed more down time where the show wasn't going on (to enjoy the scenery or my son would have loved some time to drive the wheel at the front of the boat). Definitely recommend the experience for young families.

Una excelente experiencia para los más pequeños de la casa! Mi hija tiene dos años y se divirtió como nunca! Interactuó con los actores y la hicieron sentirse incluida en todas las actividades a pesar que todavía no habla mucho. El paseo en el barco por el lago muy bueno, un poco movido en algunas partes pero todo muy seguro. Una actividad recomendada si están en Toronto y quieren pasar una hora y media muy divertida. Las vistas desde el barco hacia la CN Tower son espectaculares

We did the pirate life cruise and had an absolutely amazing time! There were kids of all ages enjoying themselves and our 3 year old absolutely loved it. Highly recommend!

Which of the nearby parking lots do you recommend (closest and wouldn’t be too full on a weekday morning)? I’m bringing 3 kids and would want to park as close as possible.

I have two boys- a 3 year old who is currently obsessed with pirates, and a 14month old. Is it worth it to bring my younger son- will he enjoy it at all? Is it safe for him?

Certainly your 3 year old will love it if they are walking and talking, the 14 month old will have some smiles for sure, we have dancing and costumes and facepaint ;)
The story, or plot of the adventure may elude them but no worries, everyone likes being on a boat :)
