Kids had a blast

My kids are ages 5-11 and they had an amazing time! They learned different saber and combat moves and choreography, and then had a blast duelling. I definitely recommend this to star wars fans

Our trainer was really knowledgeable about swordfighting and answered all of my questions. He always made sure that our equipment was operational and nobody gets hurt. After the safety instructions he showed us a few moves for beginners and slowly increased the difficulty. The session was in my opinion a nice mix of instructions, training and sparring. It doesn't matter whether you are a fan of sci-fi or just sports - I would recommend it.

Force Academy-Good Concept

So the concept is cool, but key is having light sabers that actually work. Most of the light sabers (including mine and my husband's) did not light up despite changing out the battery. Again, these are light saber's, key emphasis on light. While that was disappointing, my daughter had a blast once she was given a saber that was her size. Lot's of opportunity to improve here.

Disappointed.

Booking 35 people for a session of light saber training when you have maybe 10 functioning light sabers is not cool!! Then it is more frustrating when they have a " we don't care but we will take pictures as if everyone is having fun" attitude doesn't help. I had a light saber in my hand for the last 7 minutes of the one hour when a lady offered hers.
