I really enjoyed the exhibits in the art gallery that were there in Sept 2022. Beautiful photography, insightful texts, and gorgeous bead work that provided insights into Indigenous culture in the north.

When we visited there is certainly lots to see. We did not see a performing arts show of any kind. Staff is very hard to find to answer any questions. Parking seemed adequate ut I don't think I wold have pulled my rv up here. Clean grounds and building.

We attempted to visit on the weekend before Canada Day and posted hours are til 5. We arrived just before 4:30PM, knowing we'd need to be quick; but alas, all the doors were locked. No notice posted that they were closing early for the long weekend, but we assumed that's why they had closed early. :(

There were two exhibitions: one by an Alaska artist of part-Indigenous parentage, Sonya Kelliher-Combs, with the title “Goodbye.” It was dedicated to acquaintances who had committed suicide, a real problem in the North. The other was an exhibition of crafts by a couple of Yukon artists, Ann Smith, who weaves robes, and her husband Brian Walker, who works in copper. The exhibition is accompanied by two short films. We enjoyed our visit.

Nice facility...although lobby furniture is showing its age. Theatre seats are comfortable. The shows are well presented in this professional arts centre; sound & light techs do a great job. Heartwarming knowing my children have performed on the same stage at Stuart McLean. Great variety of performances offered. Well done YAC!

Very interesting gallery featuring portraits of local people painted by a local doctor.
Also featured a very creative exhibition of necklaces inspired by famous Canadian women.

It's worth visiting the Yukon Arts Centre just for the great view overlooking the valley and downtown Whitehorse from the outdoor sculpture gallery. Indoors, there are several art spaces and one large art gallery, as well as a lovely theatre and small exhibits of local arts and crafts. Definitely worth a visit!

Thus is a very nice well kept up venue.. very clean and comfortable. There's is a coat check and a refreshments bar. There is always an art exhibit to look at and admire too that is constantly changing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
