This morning I discovered bites on my arms and after looking around the room, found it to be infested with bedbugs. Do not stay here.

This is specifically a review of the 98 Bar inside the 98 Hotel. We were looking for a place that had a locally distilled whiskey and the 98 Bar fit the bill! Although it's a hotel and may cater to people passing through, our experience in the bar for an hour or so was that it is a true locals' spot. We talked with a handful of people and they were all from town...so visiting and drinking here you're in a place that may be friendly to tourists, but isn't a tourist spot...it's a true local joint.
We tried the two varients of "Two Brewers Whisky" they had...both distilled in town...the bartender was nice enough to let us check out the bottles.
At least 2 different locals came up to us to talk. So friendly place!
They've got a bell that, if you ring it, you get to buy everyone in the room a shot of something...someone rang the bell just as we were leaving and we have our limits so we didn't take advantage of their generosity...but stick around long enough and maybe someone will ring the bell while you're there.
The 98 Bar is a great local place to drink and meet some of the townspeople.

Great fiddle music, Thursday night. Place was packed! Reminded me of the old Capital Hotel in the mid nineties. Great music, great atmosphere, amazing music and interesting clientele.

Cool atmosphere, decor was amazing. We met the new owner, she was so nice and friendly. Our bartender was amazing. Would highly recommend checking this place out.

Loved our stop in here. The 2nd oldest liquor license opening in 1943. Crystal has such a passion for the place and it was great talking to her and learning all of the history. The regulars made us feel welcome. The prices were great. We would definitely go back. We were there on a Saturday and it was pretty steady, but not crowded. Sunday is open mic and apparently it gets crowded. Thursday is packed too (I can’t remember the event on Thursday).

Unassuming and interesting little pub with the best bartender (Crystal) I've ever had. Friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything smoothly under control.

Wonderful atmosphere with friendly and fast service. Should give this locals spot a visit. Lots of history to see inside too.

We lived in Whitehorse twenty years ago and somehow didn’t know about this place. Twenty years on and I’m certain the cast of characters hasn’t changed much. This is Whitehorse as it was and should be, pure Yukon gold. Good beer and a great atmosphere, don’t miss it!

If you looking for interesting conversation and cheap drinks you found the place. Staff are friendly and bar is eclectic with many stories about each item.

ホテルだと思い立ち寄ったら、朝からビールなどのお酒が飲めるバーでした。観光客は少なく、酔っ払った現地民の憩いの場のようで、ちょっと勇気がいりました
