“A lovely little gem”

之后参观了一个非常受欢迎的酒吧这是一个非常愉快的周日晚上的一个惊喜。 酒吧的工作人员都非常热情和常客有现场音乐来自一个较小的房间相邻的酒吧。 很愉快的晚上,其中可以持续几个小时的时间还是觉得像是只有几分钟。 等不及要再来带着朋友会喜欢的事物

“great pub...but.....garden full of dog mess”

我们来过这里很多年了,一个客厅还有一个酒吧和一个很好的例子的旧的现代化延伸。 不错的啤酒和常规的音乐之夜。 这里有一个景点是不错的啤酒花园。 但是。 最后2次,今晚和一个月前被宠坏了的是啤酒花园里到处都是狗的一团糟, 5分钟内有一个大人和一个孩子的我们一行的到处都是的他们的鞋子。 工作人员道了歉并说游客但是我发现我很难相信所有的酒吧去喝喝酒突然有了如此大的差异和不禁店主/经理/员工如果当前有狗? 我们就再也不会回来你会发现其他有干净的花园酒吧。 真是一种耻辱。

Spotlessly clean and a warm welcome with fine ales.

Called in for a lunchtime pint with our sandwiches yesterday while passing, little knowing it was an historic pub I had wanted to visit for a long time. Despite sitting in the garden under cover in heavy rain - our choice - we enjoyed it immensely. Notably this was the first pub I had been to in six months due to that Virus, and the experience felt reassuringly safe. The safety protocols were clear and the place was spotlessly clean. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thanks for helping to restore our confidence in going out! Look forward to calling again if in the area.

Great pint

Went for a drink today. Fabulous. One way system, table service, fantastic barmaids. Really attentive. Felt 100% safe. Great pint of Hobson's bitter. Pretty beer garden.

Pleasant bar, but extremely poor experience eating

We were advised to visit to sample the great fish&chips from the chippie next door, which can be eaten in the pub. Arrived, and sat in the new bar at the back, good choice of ales, and then went and ordered the fish&chips. We collected these from the high-tech, cooked to order chippie, only to be told on returning we can't eat in the main pub, but only in the dingy old rooms at the front, filled with decrepit chairs (mother in law is 88, and coulldn't sit on wooden benches in other room, equally sparse). So ate soggy fish and chips in a room reminiscent of a 1800's parlour used as a storeroom. Not the highlight of a holiday by any means.

Classic Old Pub - Excellent Real Ale and welcome

We dropped in to enjoy a good pint of real ale and found a very warm welcome from licensee Sally and the locals. An old fashioned historic pub. The last of the old style 'Parlour Pubs' plus a new modern locals and visitors' rear bar. Four beers on genuine draught hand pull serving great real ale. Ludlow 'Stairway' 5% was excellent. The sort of pubs where the community comes together, all ages, people talk and find out what's going on in the area and what they can join in on.

Disappointing Second Visit

We visited last week with a group of friends. We were excited to show our friends this little gem we had visited in the summer.
Having told our friends the story of Flossie Lane we were bitterly disappointed to see Flossie's room looking like a store room with boxes and a broken chair dumped in the middle of the room.
Such a shame!

A fantastic example of a CAMRA heritage pub

This is a very interesting heritage pub. We visited on an afternoon and had missed lunch serving hours but the lady behind the bar still did food for us, which was well needed after a walk over Hergest Ridge! The building is full of character, I've not been to many pubs like it. The beer selection was good and my pint was very well kept. Thoroughly recommend a pint here if you're passing through.

Eating fish & chips with beer

We called to have a pint and a wine to accompany our fish n chip meal which you are allowed to eat here from The Fiddlers Elbow fish & chip shop next door.

A proper country pub.

The current team have brought the pub back to life. An amazing atmosphere with plenty of events on but never losing sight of being a well loved local. First class.
Always busy and humming with life and with a warm and welcoming fire. Dogs are welcome also. Great garden for the summer months .

Turn left from the Lion Inn in Leintwardine & a short stone’s throw is the lovely pub that is the Sun Inn.

One of only 2 parlour pubs left in the country according to the regulars.

Ciders served on keg & real & 3 real ales too.

Games such as shut the Box, Dominoes, Crib available in the back of the new extension.

Lots of papers to peruse.

Blue plaque to former Landlady Flossie Lane (her brother Charles name is on the plaque) on the walls inside.

Both the front two rooms were the parlour rooms.

The back is the extended area.

An ecliptic mix of seating, nice beer garden to side & rear of pub with lots of benches in garden.

Limited road parking only.

Nice sandwiches, £1.80 each, ham, cheese, tuna or coronation chicken all with lots of salad.

Porkpies available to eat too.

Dart board at rear of back room left hand side, piano & toilets abit further back.

A nice friendly pub, that is roomy, airy & spacious inside.

A hidden gem of a pub.
