Hermosa tradición de este pueblo ver como fabrican todas las artesanías de cobre, una exposición de artículos que han ganado concursos, artesanos mostrando como se trabaja este metal. Vale la pena!!

El museo es pequeño, pero muchas piezas realizadas por artesanos del lugar, además te va explicando la historia. Otro dato importante es que en el centro del museo hay exhibiciones de como van dando forma al metal, incluso puedes participar con ellos. También tienen su tienda de recuerdos, hay cosas tan pequeñas que van desde los 4 pesos hasta novecientos pesos o más

Come an see copper heritage on this small town after visit the main square and buy a couple of handcrafts. They have a multimedia room wiht video (spanish) where they tell the story of copper. Take a look at the different exposition rooms and check at the oustide how copper was handle since ancient times //
Ven a conocer sobre la historia del cobre en este pueblito después de darte una vuelta por la plaza principal y comprar un par de artesanías. Tienen sala audiovisual donde te ponen un video de la historia del cobre. Date una vuelta por las distintas salas de exposion y checa en el patio como es que era trabajado el cobre desde tiempos de la colonia

Si quieres conocer sobre la artesanía que se hace en Santa Clara del Cobre, aquí es u gran lugar a visitar. Encontrarás Bellas piezas artesanales hechas de cobre y buena información sobre ellas.

Sin duda es un lugar que se debe de visitar cuando andas en Santa Clara. Conocer la historia sobre el trabajo que requiere el cobre para realizar piezas únicas. Y también la vida del mítico Pito Pérez; son respuestas que encontraras en este lugar. Además de piezas de colección y su concurso anual de este preciado metal.

I was lucky enough to be able to schedule a visit to Santa Clara del Cobre to attend the final day of the XLVI Feria Nacional del Cobre (46th National Copper Festival) on August 17th. I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Director of the Copper Museum and was granted permission to take photographs inside. At the requests of the artisans who have their works on display, they do have a "no fotos" rule since the artisans are leary of being copied by other artists or by industrial spies from India or China. Santa Clara del Cobre has experienced a downturn in business and because I would be writing reports such as this, the rules were bent.
A walk through the museum provides one with a real history of the progression of the copper industry in this rather small mountain town. There are posters from virtually every Copper Festival, many very unique copper items, and winning entries from not only the most recent Festival Competition but also past years winners. In the courtyard area, there is a "workshop" area where demonstrations are given on the copper making process.
Don't miss making a stop here during a visit to Santa Clara del Cobre!
