This beach is good for spending time and for photography. However, the cleanliness needs to be improved here.
Many youngsters come here for photography and making videos. They do shooting for the reels as well.

Mandarmani is a seaside resort village in the state of West Bengal, India which is in East Midnapore district( Bay of Bengal).
It is one of the largest seaside resorts of West Bengal which is easily accessible by road. The special attraction red crabs crawling around the 13 km long. Water waves is relatively low.
Many excellent resorts are available in Mandarmani. Hotel and food prices are relatively cheap.

Would not advise anyone to go there with family. Dirty beach - The crowd is bad, unhealthy atmosphere - unhygenic food stalls.
It deserves a rating of (-) 5 - if that can be given.
Still Old Digha is somewhat better. Heard tajpur is nice but not been there.

Beautiful and quiet beach. It gets dirty after high tide but in low tide the sea retreated to 1-2km leaving behind beautiful clean beach. The beach in the evening is clean enough for children to play. A good getaway from Kolkata

If you’re going with high hopes, you will be disappointed. This isn’t commercialised yet, so there is hardly any decent eatery or place to stay. I suggest reaching in afternoon, basking in the calm of sea waves over the evening, and heading out next morning. Outlets are cheap. There is hardly anything to do at the beach, no water-sport.

If you plan 1 or 2 night spend in a sea side then Mondermoni your best destination. Amazing Bay of Bengal always touch with you. Clear sky, blue-green sea, lots of greenery and marvelous beach. your holiday became dermic. Most of the traveler confused where to stay. Last Saturday we stay at hotel NILKANTHA. It's a mesmerizing experience. We stay in Room No, 208 (1st floor). 180 degree horizontal wide sea view and exquisite tide experience we can't forgot. Room-Balcony and Sea nothing more. Amazing experience. Its a mini Goa for Bengal.

developed to enjoy other than beech!! If you want to enjoy only beech then you can go but it is quite expensive than digha!! Rather you should go to digha if you are first time going to enjoy vacation

If you are from West Bengal then must visit this beach I will highly suggest go and have some time peacefully there weather is calming and just love the place

I don't think there is any restriction on any dress/attire for the beach. However I haven't seen anyone in bikini at mandarmani beach.

It takes another hour of drive.
But once you have visiter Mandarmoni, you will not like to go to New Digha.
Beach at Mandarmoni is more scenic and pristine

Yes I can & no body is going to stop u , but no body in that beach wears it ,so it looks odd. Shorts & t-shirt r well for the beach there .I can wear bikinis on hotel pools & enjoy as the hotels don't give permission to go in the pool with out a wearing bikinis.

hi, my question is that how to return from mandarmani to kolkata if I haved booked a govt. bus from digha do I have to go to digha to board the bus or I can board it from mandarmani?

No , u don't need to go to Digha ..If u go Mandarmani by Govt bus ..u have to deboard @ Chaulkhola ...after that u need auto for 8-10 k.m ride ...@ Chsulkhola Busstop u can find camp. Counter of WBTC Bus's agent where u can book ticket in advance for Kolkata ..and also board from Chaulkhola .

Approx. 171 kms, should take anything between 4-5 hrs. by road depending on the route you take. Else, one can also catch the morning train which takes you to Contai - and then a cab from there to the hotel
