I went to Bhusandeswar temple with my mother wife and two sons. It was the largest shivalinga I have seen. I loved the road journey from new digha. It was situated near Balasore in Orissa. I gave puja with fruits flowers and sweets. The priest gave excellent puja by using by kashayp gotra and chatterjee clan. i prayed offered my puja and returned back.

I went several times for this Temple with my family. Never get disappointed. On our way off to Bhusandeswar Temple we visited Chandoneswar Temple, and the greenery on both sides of the road took us through to the Hidden Gem with no time
E-Riksw could be a better choice to feel the air sound. No hustle and bustle, calm and quite place pure unspoiled nature.

Bhusandeswar Temple - Asia's Largest Shiva Linga. This temple is situated near the bank of Subarnapur river. It is near about 38 km from digha.

According to ancient Indian mythology, it is said that while the demon king was carrying the gifted lingam while travelling, he placed it at this place and thereafter he was not able to lift it again, as per the oath granted by Lord Shiva. The 12 feet long and 14 feet width lingam is carved out on a black granite and only half of the lingam is visible. The other half has remained buried for years. The diameter of the lingam is 12 feet and has three parts. The middle portion of the lingam is octagonal in shape, about 12 feet in diameter and nearly four feet in height.The Lingam slightly leans towards the right side.

This is a Hindu religious place and it's a nice& small temple in the middle of a small village. I recommend to visit this place only during daytime.

Its located in Bhogarai village of Balasore district, Odisha. The 12 feet long and 14 feet width lingam is carved out on a black granite and only half of the lingam is visible. The other half has remained buried for years. Its believed that it was demon king Ravana who placed the Lingam here.. Please note this is a remote location and public transport is not easy to get, so please take your own vehicle. You can travel to nearby places as well such as Talsheri, Chandaneswar and Digha.

Almost at the bank of Subarnarekha river there lies the Bhusandeswar temple with large shivalinga.It lies in an isolated territory just 1 and 1/2 hrs journey from Digha,West Bengal.It is in the state of Orissa,in Balasore district.Though the lingam is old but the temple and surroundings are newly constructed with a small market adjacent.
Nearby Subarnarekha river is with a vast expense of water with gorgeous look.
It's a weekend destination of half a day tour.
I have visited the place with family and friends in November 2015.It's a nice place.
Best time to visit is during winter.
