While the beauty of Emami Jagannath temple is impeccable, Nilagiri Jagannath Temple is much popular with a rich history. Every year it features in the news during Rath yatra.
Also, there is a adjoining Palace ( where the current King Resides) where which has been restored and is a recommended place to visit. The Palace has a Krishna temple and Goddeses Durga temple which is accesible to all.

My wife and I went for prayer to Jagannath Temple Balasore. Popularly the temple is known as Imami Jagannath Temple Balasore.
The temple is true replica of the Jagannath Temple of Puri. The temple is very beautiful in calm place. The prasad given there was amazing. It is believed that people of Orissa are cooking well. I heard that the charge for prasad is negligible. Overall it was very nice experience. If you go Balasore for sightseeing or on official duty to DRDO or elsewhere, you must visit the Jagannath Temple. You must have time in hand, say about 3 hours. If you simply seat on bench in front of the temple, you will feel peace in mind.
Really the temple is worthy to be visit. The work in the stones are really appreciable. A place where family and friends all can enjoy and admire.

this is an ancient hindu shrine for lord jagannath. it has good connectivity and this place offers tasty prasad for the devotees during lunch

it is a big temple and very nice decorated,jaganath idol is large and nice here.must visit place.beside it there is a good sweet shop.

This temple is constructed to look like a fusion of the Puri Jagannath temple and the Sun temple at Konark. I would say its a modern day temple architectural marvel. The beautiful sculptures and the clean surroundings make this an ideal visit while you are visiting Baleshwar. Please do ensure that you check the timings before visiting as the temple is closed for a prolonged time in the afternoon. This temple is situated around 10 Km's away from Baleshwar town and is on the same route as yet another famed temple by the name Khirachora Gopinath. A must visit for anyone visiting Baleshwar.
