Esta iglesia está junto a otra algo mas moderna por la parte posterior donde se encuentra el Monumento de San Pedro de Alcántara, en pleno casco antiguo del pueblo y entre unas calles muy bonitas para pasear a pie, un lugar para detenerse enver y admirar.

Está en peor estado que la Iglesia que hay delante del monumento a San Pedro de Alcantara, pero merece la pena pasear por las calles de Alcantara y ver todo el arte que en ese pueblo hay.

This Church is the house where San Pedro de Alcántara is born, a monk who revolutionized his time. His party is on October 19 and the towns he passed through, as well as Extremadura, where he is a patron, celebrate his day. After the mass, the saint is taken out in procession through the streets of Alcántara and the act is finished singing his hymn.
