Nicely recreated memorial. It is next to the Bataan War Museum with parking available in the surrounding schoolyard parking lot. At the time of our visit the museum was not open.

Set inside a school grounds and adjacent the Bataan WW2 Museum this is a must see site in the City Of Balanga Bataan.
If you're not fully informed of the historic significance of this site take a look at the surrender site statue then go into the museum for an understanding of its importance and the subsequent horrors of the Bataan Death March. Take a moment or two to reflect.
The surrender site is free, the museum is P50.

a good way to make your fam (or anyone for that matter) learn about world war 2. went here with Bataan, I couldn't have enjoyed more our trip because of the tour guide we had with us. I recommend you book a tour with Bataan provincial tourism!

It is located beside the Bataan War Museum. We salute our fallen filipino and american soldiers who died during the war.

The fact that you can step on the actual site where surrender terms for Bataan were negotiated is a pretty surreal experience. The monument itself is a few larger than life statues of the key participants. I drove her myself and had a bit of trouble finding it but after asking around one nice gentlemen showed me the way. It’s literally located on a school’s grounds. Adjacent is a museum that provides some background on Bataan, the battle, and the death march. One of the retired women working there father served in the conflict and she told me a few personal stories she had heard of people involved in the march and conflict stop by!

a good way to make your kids or students (or anyone for that matter) learn about world war 2. went here with Bataan tourism, I couldn't have enjoyed more our trip because of the tour guide we had with us. I recommend you book a tour with Bataan provincial tourism!

You wouldn't miss this marker because its in front of the Bataan World War 2 museum in Balanga, which is inside the elementary school.

A great sculpture set within the grounds of a school.
I visited here with a friend, when we arrived here we couldn't find where it was, not realising that it was inside a school, you go into the grounds then walk around the various buildings until you find it in a tree lined courtyard. Opposite the sculpture is a WW2 museum, unfortunately we came here too late in the day to visit the museum so it was shut, so i would recommend coming in the morning or midday.
The sculpture is a depiction of 6 men discussing the terms of surrender around a table, who the men are isn't the clearest when looking at the statues themselves, however there are quite a few boards that tell you a lot about the history and details of what is happening.
This is definitely worth a visit if you're around Balanga City or you are really interested in the history of the Philippines especially WW2.

The actual memorial location doesn't provide much on-site information about the actual surrender event. Unless you're a WW2 history buff, a visit should be paired with the nearby museum to understand the full context of the marker's significance. The monument itself is a fairly unremarkable set of sculptures but if you're aware of what it represents (the fall of Allied forces in Luzon and the set-up for the eventual Death March across Bataan province), the whole scene bears the weight of history.

The marker sits just outside the museum. It's a depiction of the Bataan surrender and is based out of the actual event. Visit Mt. Samat Cross and museum to see the actual picture.

i am so sorry i did not see this question until just now 4/3/2017 it is north of Manila there there are buses to Balanga city and tours from there.
