Wonderful Waterfalls!

Very Good waterfalls to visit with your family and friends!.. Since we had visited in June there is very less amount of water only there. In the Theni to Kambam Rod you can go to Kumbakkarai falls where the signboard will guide you. There is a Forest Check point and Office at the Entrance. You have to pay Small entry fee to get into the Falls. And Also There is Forest Department owned Battery operated shuttle service to the Falls from the entry point was available at the cost of 20 rupees per head. It will ease your walking of half an kilometer.
Once you reach the Falls it is natural beauty to explore. And presence of Forest officers will ensure your safety while visiting with family. Dress changing rooms also available.Don't miss when you are going to Kambam from Theni.

Closed due to covid

We visited on 28 dec 2021. It was closed. We were not able to reach water falls. But there was small stream of water went through private field. But it is not worth for travel for 2hr.

Not enough water flow

We were there during May 2019. Heavy crowed but not good water flow.
Need an improvement with dress changing room and other amenities.

This place in Theni district, technically in dindugal district is a famous place for tourists. This place has an entrance board 8 km before mentioning whether there is water flow or not

A small falls with more density of water

Good place to visit if you go to periyakullam. It is in the downskirts of kodaikanal hills. You can feel the smell of good herbal plants. Entry fee is Rs. 15 for adult. U cannot expect a high level falls as in coutrallam. It is a very small falls but the flow is heavy.

Lovely falls

This is a beautiful place to go in the Kodai hills.

Although not too high, one can enjoy the falls from close quarters and get wet in here too. Great place to visit when this side of the Country

Small but nice

The height of the falls is short but very enjoyable for all ages. Mostly kids are thoroughly enjoyed. Take care monkeys on the way.

Very good Place to visit where there is water flowing in the falls.

I visited the KumbaiKarai falls today, got an awesome experience, due to some decent rains in the Kodaikanal recently(last 2-4 days) we have got plenty of water coming down to this falls.Had a nice showering at this falls. The place has been maintained well by government recently, has restrooms for Gents and Ladies, No food allowed inside the falls area, good initiative to preserve the nature, only one local small shop to buy some drinks and snacks. Get your food or snacks in the vehicle, you can munch it after you come back from the falls. Parking is 50 rupees , need a small uphill/downhill walk to get to falls. Nearest good restaurant is "Thalappakatti " non vegetarian restaurant/other veg restaurances within 30 mins drive from this place.
