A fantastic 2 hour taster session. A lovely welcome on arrival. Beautiful surroundings. Expert tuition from Jonathan and great fun way to spend a couple of hours getting to grips with basic stone carving. We all had a fabulous morning and were really proud of what we had achieved at the end of it. Seriously considering a further course next time I’m in the area. We have been visiting Swanage for years and this ranks among the best activities we have ever done in the area.

Brilliant activity to try out in a beautiful setting too
Owners were very welcoming and accommodating.
My advice is keep your ideas simple, that way you'll be able to finish them completely.

Excellent morning spent with friends being creative with stone carving. A great teacher - Niko, who was very patient with hammer wielding students!!
From starting at 10am without a clue what to do, to finishing at 12 with a design carved in stone is nothing more than a miracle. I would recommend this 2 hr workshop to young and old. All completed with tea and biscuits. Even the compost toilet was a novelty! A fantastic creative experience.

Fabulous taster 2 hour session. Would recommend it! the tutor was great and so helpful. Great to learn something new.

My husband and I did the 2 hour taster session and it was brilliant! We were shown the basic techniques of stone carving and given our own tablet to carve. Nico our instructor was lovely, friendly and very helpful. Location was stunning and the whole experience was amazing. Great value for money and will definitely go back for the full day experience

An excellent session, the tutors were so helpful and supremely talented. I thoroughly enjoyed my session on Saturday and am very pleased with my efforts. Highly recommended and great value for money.

The days course on stone carving run by the tutor, Jonathan, was an absolute delight. It was very exciting to learn new skills in a new material and I will continue to develop my skills in the future. The location of the centre is superb with views over Swanage and the surrounding landscape.

My daughters and I had an amazing time and I was really surprised at how much we learned in a short time.
I could not fault the tutor,Johnathon. He was kind ,encouraging, patient and very knowledgeable. Thank you.

Simone was very welcoming through out, Both were easy to ask questions of. Nico was just BRILLIANT as tutor, EXCELLENT with ALL AGES and abilities. HIGHLY RECOMMEND having a go at the taster for stone Carving.
NOTHING was too much to control for NICO, when working with a natural element, Portland stone. No mistakes, just happy accidents.
This little charity DESERVES TO BE RECOGNISED. It was fun, kept my focus, INTERESTING. For well being and mental health issues, GIVE IT A GO- I DID...... THANK YOU LADIES and BURNGATE STONE CARVING.

Fantastic 2 hour family session flew by! Very clear, patient & kind instruction from Amanda helped us to create something amazing from stone on our first visit! All kit provided & refreshments. Inspiring views to the Isle of Wight. Very highly recommended for any age / ability!

Hi,
Previous reviews talk of needing to be able to stand for 2 hours, is this still relevant?
