Yet again Clare and the staff went above and beyond our wishes to give my daughter the best 21 st birthday party ever. Lovely venue.

Couldn’t recommend this venue enough, Claire and her team couldn’t of been more helpful and friendly to myself and all of the guests at my birthday party. Catering was excellent and nothing was too much trouble.

3 generations of the family played the Meadows - it was the first time for our youngest playing on a proper course and the Meadows was perfect for it. It was quiet (late weekday afternoon) with the course in good nick, decent length and all the hazards you’d expect on a golf course. Certainly the best 9 holer in the area I’ve played in a long time. We hired a buggy for Grandad so a good experience all round. Folk were friendly too and organised on and off the course.

Course ok nothing special, rarely get decent lies in the fairway. Aside from this though, the reason for my one star…..my friend and I agreed to just meet at the course late afternoon instead of booking as at that time it should be easy to get on, which it was. We paid cash and played the round, missing out 3 holes as were being held up so cut onto the 15th. Was on the 18th tee when an old guy in a crocodile dundee hat and his sidekick approached us in a buggy and started asking questions about were we in the list, what time did we book etc. I recognised the pensioner guy as the owner and he was basically accusing us of not paying because he had no record of us on the sheet (if you didn’t book and paid cash then why would there be?) In the end I said look if you think we haven’t paid we’ll pay again. Ended up paying again so £40 for 15 holes all because the guy doesn’t have a decent system there to monitor who goes on the course. Needless to say I shall not be going there again, £20 for a twilight fee when you can’t get 18 holes in is a little strong for a course which is nothing special. It reminds me of a public pay and play place, which basically is what it is. If you get a chance to play Braintree instead then do, light years ahead!!!

Been here a few time mrs for art classes and also a funeral recently. Plenty of room, nice surroundings and a bar. Buffet was very good too. Would suit parties too.

Lovely setting for a wedding, beautiful building. Food looked good but vegetarian option was okay but I didn't eat the funny couscous pie. Drinks were extremely expensive, you would only buy one. A pint and a half of beer and a soft drink was £16.00 and a mocktail £8.00.

The first-class venue for golf and food Societies welcome Sunday lunch of Rib of Beef is worth the visit alone. also a challenging 9 hole course on the adjoining site.
Plenty of parking. pro shop and club hire.

Always get good food here especially breakfast at weekends. Also Sunday lunch very good. Only draw back is that they can be a bit slow bringing food out and coffee machine was out of order for weeks. Lovely view while eating and good ambience.

A lovely lunch, good value. Plenty of meat and veg. A good choice of menu too. The service was friendly atnd attentive. When we finished we had drunks overlooking the golf course which was in beautiful surroundings.
