The best pub I have ever been too. Welcoming, clear, friendly. Sundays they have a cheese board that is free. The staff are lovely people and have always been kind and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely local micro pub!
Good choice of ales, beers and gins!
Dog friendly.
Friendly feel and good banter amongst staff and locals!

Popped in to this lovely little micro pub on an overnight visit to Sidcup and so very glad we did! Amazing and varied selection of good quality beers were on offer. A really nice interior making it a pleasant & comfortable space to have a beer. The beers we had were great, tasted perfect, fresh and well poured in nice clean class. The guy behind the bar brought the whole thing together, knowledgeable, and really friendly, simply just a nice guy! All in all a great place to have a decent beer, I live 40 miles away but would happily come that far to drink here. Looking forward to coming back. Thank you Hackney Carriage 🍺!

Went in there with my partner after just three drinks was told we had to much and was told to leave I said to the lady owner that I had only had three drinks and my partner only drinks coke but she was shouting in my face that we was not welcome in there any more so basically our faces did not fit. Give this place a very wide birth

There were reasons you failed to mention why you were asked to leave . I also believe you were asked to leave the pub down the road.. Farting and thinking it’s funny in front of adults is something your friend knew better to do. And also there is a difference between cuddling someone and groping there breasts in public. I was also worried about the effect the high sugar drink was effecting her. Regards Liz

After not visiting for some time due to Covid, it was great to get back. Felt safe and secure due to Covid rules. Would recommend, we love the gins and ciders they have and would definitely go back.

I've been to this micropub many times since it opened. It started out great, selling mostly, if not only, real ale beer from barrels. But now there seems to be less choice of barrelled real ale and more gassier 'keg' beer? Also, I and my mate couldn't read the beers' info on their small tv screen situated too high above the bar.
I couldn't see the beers' abv strength, nor it's brewery, nor if it's a dark or light ale, nor if it's a beer or a cider! The wording is so small on it. Bring back more barrels of beer and fewer kegs..and ditch the tv screen for a chalk board. Lastly, micropubs have fewer expenses than a tennancy tied pub that have many more overheads. So I don't know why your charges per pint are almost £5? You're not alone. The local Hoppers Hut is the same. Expensive.This is unjust. Which is why 'One Inn the wood' micropub in Orpington is very popular and gets my vote. Because years after it opened it's kept it's beer prices realistic.

I’m sorry you feel 4 /5real ales were not enough choice to be honest coming out of covid has been hard on all hospitality and I am unable to put on 8 to 10 beers as people have given hospitality a wide birth. We have to charge according to cover overheads rent vary very much from area to area.

Regular barman is fantastic and an absolute asset to this place. Be careful the female owner has over-charged me on two occasions that I’m aware of.

Regulars since it opened and the best bar for miles. Friendly staff, great beers & wines and always a warm welcome. Visited recently on a Monday night amid rumours of further lockdown measures just around the corner to find a happy upbeat group talking and listening which the pub encourages, in a difficult time found our visit a real moral booster . Really need to keep the pubs open for the company as well as the economy.

I am lucky to have this as my closest Micropub. The beer selection is always good and the beers are stored and served from a temperature controlled room to ensure they are always at their best. There are always a good selection of drinks for the ladies who don’t fancy a beer, including various gins. They have some tables outside and are dog friendly. The owner is there most evenings to welcome her customers and the staff are always friendly and offer superb service.

Popped here for a few drinks just before the lockdown started. The drinks were good and there was a good selection of Gins and Ales. The service was nice and friendly and it’s definitely worth visiting.

Can I assume you don’t want people who don’t like dogs to drink in your premises?... I was really annoyed by a dog a couple of weeks ago that kept wagging its tail against my legs. I nearly took this to the next level of violence, it Piss’d me off...... don’t go there if u don’t like dogs like I don’t!!!
Halfway house just up the road doesn’t have this problem with dog loving dicks!!!!!

The gin is called maiden and is locally sourced. They sell a good quality vodka too. And all mixers are fevertree.
