A perfect experience, full of knowledge about the cultivation, benefit, preparation and tasting of coffee on a beautiful estate, with the unparalleled kindness of the Risaraldenses. All our gratitude for the hosts and for Santiago our Guide and teacher.
In practical terms for travelers: if you go by bus, from the terminal of Pereira, take a transArmenia q that drops you at the service station La Paz (approx 45 min). Communicate with Jorge the host of the hacienda, who will help them q a taxi pick them up and take them to the hacienda (approx 15 min). There they receive them with a delicious red and bottle of water. They begin the course that teaches from the arrival of coffee in America, planting the seed, going to the plantation to collect coffee (divine plan), teaching along the way everything related to cultivation, the plants that are on the way, etc. until finishing with the tasting.
You can take only the course or have lunch right there. (Healthy, homemade food very rich). There is even a lodging service and a swimming pool for guests only.
For everything that includes, it is the most complete and economical tour I have ever seen. Hopefully many will give themselves this opportunity, they will not regret it!!

Lovely place in the middle of coffee crops.
Excellent reception, good dinner and breakfast in the morning. Spacious and clean rooms with large and long common balcony overlooked by our rooms.
Do not miss the visit to their plantations where the Guide explains many things about coffee, its production and processing. Finally the theoretical part and the tasting of different methods of preparation, all very interesting!
Absolutely a must-see within a holiday in Colombia.

After almost a year of having spent a few days in the Guayabal coffee plantation, I remember it as a very pleasant experience. We learned a lot about coffee from origin to finish.
The landscapes that surround the ranch are impressive.
Good and varied food.
And the best is the people who work there, attentive and always attentive to your needs.
Recommended one hundred percent.

The visit was truly fantastic from all points of view.
We learned a lot about coffee cultivation and production and we also took a tour of the farm seeing all the production processes that were explained to us before. Whoever accompanied us really answered all our questions and all the staff were really very kind and professional.
The place itself is a paradise, with many coffee plants and other plants and trees.
We collected the beans and also planted coffee seeds while having fun.
We did a coffee tasting which helped us understand what really makes the difference in the preparation.
We really recommend visiting this farm, both for adults and children.

Wonderful experience to discover the stages of coffee processing in a splendid place! Very kind staff, lunch and dinner (even vegetarian!!) worthy of note.

A magical place immersed in coffee plantations where the rhythms flow slowly. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful and the coffee tour is very interesting. Excellent food! A place to recommend

We were warmly welcomed at this family run finca-hotel land thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The setting is quiet and lovely, the room was comfortable, the shower hot, the meals tasty and reasonably priced. There were plenty of opportunities to observe and photograph birds on the property. One of the sisters, Irene, shares this interest and was helpful in pointing out locations. We did the English language coffee tour with Santiago and enjoyed it very much. There are several gentle dogs on the property-somel of whom were abandoned animals which the family has taken in and cared for.

We did spend one day here on our travel from Pereira to Medellin. We have been welcomed in this beautiful and peaceful place and then startet the tour in English, walking around all over the area. The guide showed us every step from seed to plant, we could pick some coffee beans on our own and got to know about their selection, the process of drying, how it gets exported… and later we could see how the beans get roasted and how to brew the coffee in different ways.
We will never forget this interesting day and are happy that we’d choose Hacienda Guyabal to do a coffee tour. The owner Jorge and all the people who work there are really nice and friendly and love what they do. I really recommend spending time at this unique place!
And think about having lunch there! It is delicious and you even might get a little sweet coffee plant as a desert. :)

Tour is outstanding, highly recommended. These people have pride in what they do and you will be amazed at how much you learn. It took around four hours or so. Everyone was friendly, humble, knowledgable, informative. The views and surrounding hills are in view pretty much the entire time. You will not regret. Fourth or fifth generation coffee growers. Arriving isn’t too bad, just do a bus to chinchina then from there just take a taxi for 10K pesos.

This is a really nice place to learn about coffee. My husband, who is a coffee-nerd and me, who is not interested in coffee so much, visited this place. When we left, both of us were extremely happy and had learnt quite a lot about the whole process of coffee, from the fields to the cup.
It is the owners of the hacienda that show you around and do the coffee tasting. They take an incredible amount of time to do it, and you can see their passion in what they do.
