No debe faltar una visita al Parque Central de Ocotal cuando llegues a esta ciudad. Ya sea para descansar en una banca o recorrer los diferentes pasillos, el parque tiene una gran variedad de arboles y plantas que generan un ambiente muy acogedor. También alrededor del parque hay varios lugares de interés como la Casa de la Cultura, la Alcaldia y la Iglesia.

Beautiful landscaping. Lots of green. At times it may seem unsafe but these days there are lots of policemen around. Nice place for a stroll during the early morning and mid afternoon.

We walked around here and loved it. When you see locals they might look a little bit hard looking but the moment you smile at them and say Hola they will grin back at you and start talking to you about their hopes and dreams and where they want to travel.
The park is immaculate and deserves special mention. Also you can play basketball with the locals. Its a great place for breakfast or lunch or just to hang and watch the pace of life drift by.

Aunque mucho menos famoso que los parques centrales de León y Granada, el Parque Central de Ocotal puede competir con ellos por su belleza. De calles adoquinadas, alberga la colorida y pequeña Alcaldía, el elegante edificio de la Casa de Cultura y la blanca e impoluta iglesia, iluminada por la noche. El centro del parque está repleto de vegetación y ofrece un ambiente acogedor y agradable. El parque es tranquilo y seguro, con poco tráfico rodado.
