Very professional and interesting wine tour. It was great pleasure to get know château owner family members and winemaker. Place is very beautiful with perfect location.
If you are near by the bordeaux you should visit them for sure 🍷

Avons été très bien reçus au château coutet.
Nous sommes de vrais amateurs et nous avons été reçu par quelqu'un qui connaissait très bien son sujet, nous a fait faire un tour dans les vignes en donnant un certain nombre d'explication, puis a enchaîné sur une visite d'1h30 tout en se mettant aussi parfois a la hauteur de nos enfants (8 et 11 ans) qui nous accompagnaient et qui ont donc pu réellement s'intéresser à la visite.
Dégustation de 3 vins dont un superbe 1989: ce n'est pas partout que l'on vous sert un vin de 30 ans! Nous en avons d'ailleurs acheté 2.
Seul regret: les prix des bouteilles au domaine ne sont pas spécialement attractifs par rapport aux bouteilles de coutet que l'on peut trouver ici ou la. En revanche, le domaine est d'un excellent rapport qualité/prix pour les amateurs.

I'm really glad that I visited Château Coutet as part of my pilgrimage to the Bordeaux region. Anne was my most gracious and informative guide. The château is attractive, and there is something magical about the setting. It was a thrill to see the beautiful equipment in the cellar, witness to a rich tradition that they maintain with high standards. The wine is outstanding and is now my favorite Sauternes.

My husband, 6 year old son and I had a very enjoyable visit of Chateau Coutet last month. It was amazing to visit the vineyards during vintage. The workshop tasting with sauternes jellies made at different stages of the grape maturation was also interesting. Madhura was a knowledgeable and very pleasant guide. Lovely visit!

A very nice property, one of the mos famous in the Barsac AOC. Nice building, fine vineyards, a visit is offered as well as tastings. Wines are not the cheapest in the region, but are fine.

We set up a visit at the last minute, and Madhura was able to accommodate us with a visit into the vineyards, a tour of the cave, and a tasting. Despite fact that we have been coming to France for years more numerable to count, our French is limited and we appreciated Madhura’s excellent English and knowledge of both the history and winemaking of the domaine. Enjoyed our tasting and having tasted different Sauternes since than, these were hands-down the best. Definitely worth a visit, and also worthwhile to call ahead.

Un premier grand cru classé digne de son rang dans un très beau cadre. Bâtisse et vin exceptionnel, le tout encadré par un personnel charmant et engagé....bravo

Bij aankomst bij Chateau Coutet werden we hartelijk onthaald door Madhura. We reserveerden op voorhand een verticale wijnproeving. We kregen 3 verschillende jaartallen om de evolutie van de wijn te kunnen proeven. Deze chateau bezoeken is zeker een aanrader voor een betere zoete witte wijn, we kregen een voldoende en goede uitleg over de geschiedenis van het domein, het proces voor het maken van de wijn, oude en nieuwe technieken om de wijn te maken, etc...

Top notch wines, interesting tasting options and a lovely, traditional atmosphere. Madhura was a great guide. It'd be 5 stars if they had a slightly larger range of wines in stock to purchase there.

Unllike many properties in Barsac/Sauternes, you don't need an appointment. The tour is very low key. There is a fee, depending on which 'experience' you select. The winery has an interesting history, intertwined with Yquem and Mouton. The press room is truly unique with custom built equipment from the early 20th century still in use. We took the 'Evolution' experience since they have you taste young wine, mature wine, and very old wine to understand how it evolves with age.

Why is Coutet only 6/6? Where else can you have dinner with the owners, tour the cellars, pick the grapes and climb the castle??? We need more stars. 6/5
