Wir besuchten Freunde in Nordmazedonien und lernten ein Land kennen, das noch immenses( touristisches) Potential in sich birgt. Die ersten Wanderwege werden markiert , allerdings stellt die Sprachbarriere noch eine grosse Hürde dar,deswegen wäre ein digitales Übersetzungsprogramm von Vorteil. Auch beim Eintritt in das Land sollte eine SIM Karte erworben werden ( machten wir leider nicht), damit man sich schneller zurecht findet.Das Essen ist sehr gut und die Preise nicht mit denen aus der EU vergleichbar

Красивые горы с высотой до двух тысяч метров. Часть хребтов находится на территории Греции и Болгарии. Тут интересные туристические маршруты, только надо иметь много времени и хорошее туристическое оборудование. Вид из гор очень красивый!

What can I say...amazing mountain. We walked more than 5 km in the mountain and we were enjoying. Lot of untouch nature. I wish that the next walk will be in the spring or summer. If you are for the fresh air and untouch nature I strongly recommend to go for a hike. One advice: if you find some metal object on the mountain don't touched because maybe is a bomb from the WW1.

In the summer it is rather high humidity, but when you get on the higher slopes it gets really nice. Visit Koleshino Waterfalls. There is anise walking path!

Wonderful mountain and really interesting history. The nature is wonderful but the mountain is extremelly steep and is not reachable for regular tourists. A lot of history because a lot of battles took place on this mountain and don't be surprised if you find some old granade from the WW1 or WW2.

Belasica - actually a chain of mountains, on the border between Macedonia and Bulgaria - is an area of great natural beauty and interest - trees and wild flowers (wild strawberries too, if you're lucky!), bears, wolves, and pure air. The highest peaks, I believe, are above 6000 feet (only for the fit), but there are easy marked trails lower down.
Many people come to see the highest waterfall in Macedonia, Smolare Waterfall. Unlike the falls at Kolesino, Smolare is a single, dramatic plunge. There's a viewing platform at Smolare too.
Every visitor to Macedonia will have heard the story of Tsar Sasmoil's defeat by the Emperor of Byzantium. It happened on Mount Belasica. Next year will be the thousandth anniversary.
