It was closed (although the website said open daily) apparently the cable cars and attractions have not been open since 2020.

Manara has a great view of Mt hermon and Lebanon on the other side, but the cable car to Kiryat Shmona was not operational in January 23

The Manara Cliffs attractions are all closed. There are no open cable cars, repelling or other attractions. There is some artistic graffiti on the gates, for a better artistic graffiti tour head to the west side of the entrance of Tel Aviv Shuk.

the cable is closed so u can do snapling but u have to come to the middle of the cable. surfing is down so its possible

Last week, my son and I went on our bi-annual, extreme hike. This time we travelled north to near the Lebanon border to climb up Israel’s tallest, steepest, cliff-lined mountain that is used by Israel’s Alpine team for their training - the Manara Cliff rising above Kiryat Shmone. I know the Alpine team practices here because one time when my wife and I were here on an easier hike, we passed the Alpine team and spoke with them while they were on their uphill march (for the second time that morning they told me) in their matching uniforms. I remember thinking that if the Alpine team trains here then we’ve come to the right place. It’s an 813 meter (2,700 foot) uphill climb. The Path “Elders” had pity on us less athletic hikers and spread the climb out over 6 kilometers (4 miles). It took us 5 hours to go up, and it was a totally awesome, extreme, and worthwhile experience. Mostly, we were in utter awe of the raw might and beauty of these cliffs, mountain and forest. Near the top of the climb is the upper station of the MUST DO cable car ride, which unfortunately was closed for repairs when we were there, as was the whole Manara Cliff Outdoor Park. From the terrace of that upper station, we were able to see the whole upper Galilee, including the Hula valley and Hula Lake below us, and the Golan Heights, all breathtakingly laid out before us. Like the purists that we are, we didn’t stop there, as most people would in order to take the cable car down, we continued on into the Kibbutz – Kibbutz Manara – and continued on up another 50 meters in height and kilometer in distance to the summit where there is no view but there is an old dilapidated water tower which meant we were at the summit. If you are a serious outdoors person, this is an adventure not to be missed!

הזמני ממש ערב לפני שהגענו. בתמונות נראה מקום חביב. בפועל חדרים קטנים ומוזנחים מאוד.
מיטות שדה לא נוחות. ארוחת בוקר סתמית.
היתרון היחיד הוא שמקבלים צמיד חופשי לפעילויות בצוק מנרה.
בימים עמוסים זה קצת בעייתי כי הכל מלא.
ממליץ לא ללון שם.

מקום נהדר בפשטותו. ארוחת בוקר צנועה וטעימה. יחס נהדר המטבח. שירות חדרים מהיר ואותנטי.

צוק מנרה מאפשר אטרקציה משולבת של עלייה ברכבל להר,מגלשות הרים ופעילות ספורט שטח כגון רכיבת אופניים ולילדים יש מתחם טרמפולינות,העלייה להר ברכבל היא כייף אמיתי וככל שהקרון מגביה נגלה הנוף המדהים של עמק החולה והרי הגולן,בפסגת ההר לאחר הצילומים ניתן להתרווח במזנון ובנקודות התצפית,מגלשות ההרים חווייה וניכר כי הילדים נהנים מהגלישה המאתגרת,הגלישה במושב לשניים כך שהילדים מרגישים בטוחים עם ההורים

I was planning on going in early July - to do the cable car and alpine slide. I can't find prices on the website. Do you recall how much it was? If not Manara, can you suggest another family fun area - we will be traveling from Haifa area to Gaillee most likely.

The slide was approx 35 shekels per person and the cable car was at least 70 shekels a person.
Rosh hanikra is nice and im sure theres other things in the area. Nahariya is also nice. If you have young children, there is a very affordable toy store/arcade/amuzement park in Yirca called mybaby which is very good.

Is it very busy even on a weekday late-morning?? How much is the cost of cable-car UP and then monorail DOWN??

- Shouldn't be busy during weekdays, Unless there is Holiday.
- Costs are published on their website. It depends since you can take a combo ticket for several activities.
- Total time - I would say quarter a day.
