We didn't know about this site at all and were drawn in by the roadside sign when we were driving to Fuendetodos to see the Goya museums.
There is a bunker surrounded by trenches which was built & used during the Spanish Civil War. You can walk down into the bunker and look around in it, there are 2 entrances. The centre of the bunker was used for storage and rest periods.
Unfortunately the official sign with information on the network of trenches and the site's history has severely deteriorated and it was almost impossible to read.
It is definitely worth a quick stop on the road. Its about 8 or 9 minutes before you reach Fuendetodos on the A-2101.
