Free and plentiful parking.
Rest rooms.
The beach is lovely. The sand is nice and the water is very relaxing. The mountains look like they are coming out of the water. It is a lovely spot.

free parking lot, and great location to launch people powered water toys. Great beach for views of Mt Tallac, Taylor Creek & the lake. Please pack all of your trash out and do not rely on using the dumpsters

This beach allows dogs and there were many having much fun in the water and on the beach. We travel with our Aussie and she loved her afternoon on this beach.

My kids loved this beach. It wasn't crowded like many of the others we went to at Tahoe. The wildlife there is an added bonus. Bald Eagles, Osprey, Ducks, and more!!

This is a great dog friendly sandy beach with warm shallow water and plenty of nearby parking a short drive from South Tahoe. I take my two labs there frequently.

We were travelling with our dog, and were surprised to see how many beaches just don't allow dogs. Kiva was one of the only ones that did. Pro tip: get to the parking lot for Kiva early as the lot is very small and fills up quickly. We didn't know this and got lucky to find parking at 11am. I have also heard since we were there, that there was a bloom of blue green algae that is harmful or fatal to dogs, so if you go you might want to keep them out of the water. There is a nice walking trail along the Lake to enjoy and luckily that is all we did when we were there.

E’ uno dei siti che ci ha ispirato una sosta più lunga, prescindendo un pò dalla spiaggia ma guardandoci intorno, soprattutto per il paesaggio, il contest ed una magnifica vista sia sul lago che sui monti dietro.

If you are looking for a great dog beach in Tahoe, then you found it! Parking is a short distance away and has a nice path to the beach. Be sure to keep your dog on the leash in parking lot and on path, but once at the beach it is best to just let them off the leash...otherwise dogs get a protective nature around their owners. A bunch of other dogs will come up and instantly be in your dogs face, so if they don't get along with other dogs (in a playful manner), it is probably best not to bring them. The beach itself is a narrow strip of sand that ends with a sandbar. It has marsh-type of a lagoon on the inland side that can contain a bunch of harmless garter snakes. If it has snakes, expect kids to take them out and play with them everywhere on the beach. There are some shady spots on the right side of the beach that has trees. Some have fallen (or cut down) and makes for a nice seat. Overall, nice beach for dogs and people!
