This is a lovely house, with helpful guides. Lots of pictures of the family and rooms to explore. Look out for the friendly peacocks and the delightful stream.

Nice place to visit friendly and engaging bunch of volunteers. Som great history we were there a couple of hours as it a not as large as some of the other national trust halls but still a great place

The staff were all friendly and helpful. Particularly the two men in the admissions hut who were entertaining and the nice lady by the big fire just inside the hall entrance. It felt like we could see all of the rooms in the hall. There were activities for children to do on the way around and the there were lots of informative displays. The gardens were interesting and there was a climbing frame for children. We enjoyed our visit to Nunnington Hall.

Wonderful - in my view, the best National Trust property.
This was our second visit. The Christmas through the ages displays were fantastic. You really feel as though you might be visiting the owners there. The place is really brought to life.
An especial thanks to the staff and volunteers for making the Father Christmas experience so memorable for our two girls. It really couldn’t be bettered.
Nunnington is the gold standard for National Trust.

The nicest National Trust property we have visited for some time. The whole place has a feeling of being cared for personally by local people, rather than the corporate on-size-fits-all approach you get in the South. Very knowledgeable and chatty staff, interesting things to see, a lot of the house open and pretty (and not too tightly manicured) gardens.

All staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
The gardens had amazing autumnal colours . The house was amazing as it took you through the ages of various owners and guests - an eye opener. The dolls houses in the attic were not all they seemed. The coffee was good and the second hand book shop. If walls could talk I’d be listening at this house! There weren’t many benches outside - could do with more. Well worth the money if your not a member and fabulous if you are!

We are NT members and were staying nearby. Grounds very pretty but quite small. Enjoyed the inside..favourite part were the miniature rooms with miniature furniture in including instruments that could still be played.

Surprising little find nestled in North Yorkshire. We visited in heavy rain so couldn't really take advantage of the gardens but were able to tour the hall. The exhibition of miniature dolls houses on the top floor is fascinating. Very pleasant tea room. Although not a big property, there was enough to see for a couple of hours just in the hall. Interesting information to read and some plenty of rooms to explore.
There are lots of stairs and uneven floors which may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

The house is pretty tired and there is not a lot to do for young children. The house does also not allow push chairs which is fair enough but they don't tell you that until you get inside and they don't provide a place to store them, you just have to leave them unattended outside (and in the rain in our case).
The staff were averagely helpful but suffered from the same affliction of all national trust house staff in believing that them themselves are aristocrats and the visitors are impinging on their own home.

What a lovely place to visit and it was close to where we were staying. It is set in lovely gardens and the house had lots of information boards in each room explaining about the rooms. The only complaint that I have is that there was no shop as when we last visited there was a shop in the attic. Lovely place to visit though.

Yes. Just looked it up on the National Trust app -> £8.50 for adults, £4.50 for children, £21.50 for a family ticket, £6.75 for a group entry. If you've got a National Trust membership then it's free but there may be special events/exhibits sometimes that you'd need to pay for. You can sometimes get discounts on membership but family membership is £114.60 or £9.55 per month (cheaper for individual or joint membership).
