This is a great historical experience. The cannery is intact, the visual and audio displays replicate its workings fish by fish. A very high quality curation and level of detail. I learned lots, but it really captured the vibe …. And the workers’ lives. Bravo parks Canada and the historical society. steveston history is remarkable, moving.

Very interesting place to visit. Guides were very knowledgeable. Learning about the salmon and herring industry in this area was very interesting, and seeing some of the original machinery used to process and can the fish was great.

They have introduced lots of new tours since our last visit which we enjoyed very much. The tours certainly bring the history of place to life. The museum is jam packed with original pieces of equipment. One tour even shows the canning line equipment operation. A great museum to learn about the history of the area and the history.

When you visit Vancouver, you should enjoy the Steveston area .... And don't miss the visit at the Cannery. This museum is amazing. The staff is so kind, and you can join a guided tour with passionate people. When you visit the building, you can actually feel the atmosphere of hard working among all those salmons and fishes... All the processes are carefully explained.
The museum shop is great too.

Talked my husband into spending two nights in Steveston and thoroughly enjoyed this site. It is such a pleasant relatively flat walk along the water and one can choose to visit the various buildings or just read the signage, which is excellent. The buildings had volunteers available to get information from and I noted one tour group being led around. While not directly part of the historic site, I especially enjoyed walking through the Japanese family's home (forgive me for not remembering their name) but it was very humbling and extremely well done. The little bunkhouse where the workers quarters were was also fascinating, especially listening to the audio stories. Public facilities readily available. Bicycles discouraged on many sections of Boardwalk and for good reason.

Was at Fisherman’s Wharf and decided to tour the cannery, $ 21.50 for two of us. We were impressed on the history of the cannery, so much info and the displays brought us back in time. Take your time and enjoy.

We went to this site because of the 50% ticket discount we got from visiting Fort Langley National Historic Site. We didn't except much for this site. However, we found that there are so much things to see at the museum. We learned the brief history of the cannery and the fishing industry of the lower mainland. We were also able to know about the whole process of producing cans. So, I would highly recommend others to visit this site.

The visit itself was best taken with a free guided tour.Is very interesting and shows what life was like in the cannery for the people who worked there.
