For any WWII aircraft enthusiast, this museum is worth the trip just to see the beautifully restored and very well displayed Handley Page Halifax (a very rare, four-engined bomber from WWII). It's a fine tribute to the efforts and sacrifices of Canadian airmen during WWII - and also to the people who restore such aircraft.
Normally, I fear being accosted by a lonely docent (who just wants someone to talk to) when in an aircraft museum, but one of the staff members here did a great job escorting me around the museum and sharing tidbits about aircraft that were truly interesting. I recommend asking for Dwayne Ellis if you want to learn more about the aircraft!
The museum building is very well thought out - making it easy to see the indoor aircraft well (not always the case at aircraft museums). There is a large collection of interesting aircraft in an outdoor park beside the museum. Hopefully, this deserving museum can get funds from the Canadian government (or a generous Canadian donor) to build a large addition - so that they can bring indoors some of the historic aircraft currently displayed in harsh outdoor conditions - and to permit them to exhibit the Avro Lancaster bomber they are currently having to store offsite in Picton, Ontario.

Fantastic history of Canada's Royal Canadian Air Force, especially if you're an aviation geek (avgeek) like me. They offer a ton of warplanes, cargo, and tankers plus their history! A fantastic visit.

It's a large area with many different kinds of aircrafts.
There are few indoors and most outdoors so best to go on a sunny day .
They have a cute challenge for kids to find a bear.

I like museums and if I'm going to be near one, I'm game to visit it.
I was look to take a break from the mind-numbing expressway between Toronto and Montreal and this fit the bill. It's just a short drive off the 401.
It's not a large aviation museum, but it tells the story of Canada's Air Force well. There are exhibits inside and large number of aircraft outside. It's well done.
I think it 60-90 minutes would be good for most folks.

We had tenders a dinner function at this location. Prior to the dinner being served, we were allowed to wander through the exhibit and the airplanes located in the building. There are many replicas, as well as working models and simulators. There was displays on both the second and first floor.

This is a cool little aviation museum and a great choice for a rainy day. Note - the outdoor museum is closed if there is thunder/lightening. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and were very helpful. This would get a 4 star rating if we didn’t have little kids with us - there could be more activities for children.

Located close to the 401, this museum is a must for the kids and aviation enthusiasts. Super affordable, amazing staff, lots of history to see both inside and outside where many historic planes and helicopters are exhibited for everyone to see. A must see if you are anywhere in the area.

A wonderful collection that I’m sure will be enhanced once restrictions are lifted.
A great idea to have outdoor displays of aircraft. The volunteers and staff were outstanding

Located right next to the Air Force Base you'll see planes zipping overhead while you enjoy your time there.
There is lots to see, new stuff includes an Olympic gold medal, the bear in a new location and you can catch a glimpse of the giant plane they are restoring.
As of March 2022 they still require masks and proof of vaccination.

The Air Force Museum website states the following:
"Accessibility
Both the Museum and Airpark are fully scooter/wheelchair accessible. In addition, scooters and wheelchairs are available for visitor use in the Museum. Please ask one of the staff for assistance."
撰写日期:2017年10月26日
admission is "free" until late February 2017, but the museum is run on donations, all the Workers there are voulenteers, so it would be uncouth to not offer some monetary appreciation
