Wonderful museum highlighting the golden age of well to do merchants and home owners along the St. Lawrence River. Servie tea on the veranda in summer, and options to hold special events there as well.

We were visiting dear friends who live in Battersea for a long weekend of “Downton Abbey” celebration, one of whom has a delightful mother who grew up in Brockville and actually knew members of the Fulford family. Our friends arranged a private tour on a Sunday afternoon for us and it was beyond compare! Our docent/guide was welcoming, thorough and interesting, providing details and anecdotes about the family, home and grounds that kept us captivated. The home itself has been meticulously restored and/or renovated and many of the original furnishings and decor are present (some never left and others have been returned to the estate by relatives). The family history is fascinating, the home itself is enchanting, and there are elevators for those of us who have physical limitations (like me). We truly enjoyed ourselves and recommend this tour to anyone who loves a glimpse of the rich and famous from long ago.

this is a very interesting tour, amazing what a scammer the original owner was, pink pills for pale people wow! The home is very opulent, love the furniture, colour of the rooms and the style back then were stunning. I have been here before and enjoyed the tea room, which; is now closed. Hope the tea room re-opens as it is a wonderful way to feel the how things were back in the day!

We had a wonderful tour of the lower floors with an exceptionally well versed lady. she explained a great deal and answered our questions knowledgably. The house is lavish and rich. The upper floor has a display of posters related to the Pink Pills for Pale People. On the ground floor there were examples of early medicines which was also interesting.

Unfortunately the tea room is closed as there was no one to take it over. That was a big disappointment. I find it hard to believe that no local church ladies group wants to serve tea at least on week-ends as a fund raiser.

I found this heritage house tour interesting and delightful with it's Edwardian-style of living, at the time in the early 20th century for the Fulford family. Interesting beginnings for this man, George Fulford, and the sad end. I want to return during the spring again and to view the gardens. I'm sure that most people will find this heritage house tour pleasant and see a glimpse back in time.

We had a private tour of the house thanks to Sir Isaac Brock B&B. Absolutely beautiful inside. The Fulford's were well traveled and it shows in their collections.

We were a group from Ottawa of 10 people. It was a private tour that had a few extra stories and features. This place was absolutely stunning with the amount of details. There are so many stories behind each room. Our docent Martha was a great story-teller with good-natured humor, historic details and playfulness. Thank you for the good work and a wonderful afternoon!
