I had a massage in January, I had just finished an extremely rough week both physically and mentally and when my massage ended after an hour I wished I had booked 2 hours. So relaxed Perfect place, and the price was very reasonable.

Amazingly nice people and a great massage made for a very good experience. The Store front has lots of wonderful items to give stress relief and plenty or teas and some coffee too. Small rooms but great massages and pedicures

The only place in Airdrie I will go for a massage! Mitch does a fantastic job & I always leave relaxed and feeling better. His is extremely professional & always able to get me in for appointments.

The price is amazing for some of the treatments. I totally would recommend Becky and the energized feet. She did a pedicure and reflexology together. It was amazing. Cathy did my hot stone which was also amazing. The facial was not the best I have ever had. I travel quite a bit and try to find spa time in all the places I travel. It would help if the ladies at Aura introduced themselves and where a little more personal. The receptionist is amazing and fun and friendly. There space is small but they make the best of it. The products in the spa are very well priced and lots of unique ideas to choose from. I also ordered lunch for there from Tam's next door and it was awesome. I would go again if I was in town .

I have to say Jessica (my massage therapist) was absolutely amazing! She was very professional, didn't chat away during my appointment and I felt great when I left.
I do agree that the main area can be a little cluttered with items to purchase. I would note that when guests arrive to keep your voice quiet as your customers can hear some of the chatter if too loud. There sound system is back up and running and is a very enjoyable spa type music.

My experience here was horrific. I was gifted the "rejuvenation" package which was to include an hour pedicure and an hour facial. I arrived to find the waiting room looked dumpy and over crowded full of stuff they were selling like puses and necklaces. I was taken to the pedicure room to begin. The room was tiny, just big enough to fit 2 chairs. The ligting sterile. No music playing. No door to the room which was literally right off the reception area (I could see the man working at the counter from my chair and hear phones ringing). The lady doing my pedicure had her things on the second spa chair and had to move them 5 minutes into my treatment when another aesthetician came in and needed the space. She threw her coat and belongings on the floor behind her. She was dressed in plain clothes, a low cut shirt with a sain on it. Her bra popped out every time she bent over. She talked the entire time to her coworker about how she had just passed a kidney stone earlier that day. It was disgusting. She also went on about how she wasn't sure if she was pregnant or not because she had had IVF and her hcg levels were going up slowly but she had her PERIOD right now. I was appalled. I came for a relaxing time away from my 3 young kids and instead had to listen to this. The worst part was when she was scraping the dead skin off my feet it was landing outside of her towel onto the CARPET floor. Once I noticed my own skin flakes on the floor I looked around and realized there were many others from earlier in the day on the floor as well. I was not offered sandals after my pedicure and had to walk barefoot stepping over the skin flakes to get out of the room.
I moved onto my facial which was the least relaxing of all. Painful waxing to start, nothing explained to me during the entire facial. She also talked the entire time as well. At one point she put this steamer over my face and left not saying how long I would be there for. To top it off..my skin broke out like crazy from whatever she used on my face and I developed a sinus infection within 24 hrs from the steam which came from water sitting in a pot for who knows how long. My eperience was awful. I would not ever come back nor recommend this place to anyone. Do not come here for peace and tranquility. My evening away from the kids (which almost never happens) was as enjoyable as being at the dentist.

I have visited the Aura Day Spa for years mainly because it's one of the few Spas in the City of Airdrie and because I always love to support small local businesses. It offers a variety of massages, manicures and pedicures and various other services. I have gotten massages for myself, my wife and as gifts for family members....again because I like to support local business and to avoid driving into Calgary. It seems that every time I leave though, I don't feel greatly refreshed and always tell myself that I won't go back and that I should try something else....but it seems convenience brings me back. I pay into benefits and figure I should treat myself to a massage every now and then to use those benefits. My wife and I both share the same opinions on this review so keep in mind it's not solely my thoughts written here. Every masseuse we've had has talked our ear off, which sometimes is not bad but please give me the option. My wife likes more pressure during a massage and says she has yet to receive it here, even after requesting it repeatedly and I like a softer relaxation massage and I still have to ask the masseuse to increase pressure. I'm not paying to get tickled. I've told them to spend more time on my feet as they can get sore, dry and sometimes cracked and this is handled with them not touching my feet at all. My wife has never left there feeling blown away by the massage but never really wanted to tell me until now because she didn't want to be rude. Whenever I've received a gift certificate to go there from a family member (again to support local business) I've had an unbelievable time booking a massage. It seems like every day I try and book it, they have no staff available or it's at some obscure time.
The final nail in the coffin for me was when I submitted my RMT receipt to Blue Cross and the claim was denied because they have no record of the masseuse on file. Now, even after a terrible massage, my claim is denied because according to the insurance provider, they have no record of the masseuse or she has not kept up on her hours. Every penny back helps, and regardless of who is at fault, that was it for me. I will not support this local business anymore. I know I'm the first reviewer of this business, and I know that it is a fairly busy spa (mainly because it's one of the few in the city) and I also know that it may be fairly unpopular with the users that frequent this spa because they will be loyal to the owners and it has been around for a long time, but I figure I've given this spa many chances over the years and I will look elsewhere to get a massage.
