Really a large swamp !

Nice little sort of lake , no real boats allowed, boat launch is no good for seniors no dock beside it to get seoirs in and out of boat or canoe. Go to sprout to find a better lake for seniors.

Not a lake

Good for swimming, paddling, tiny boating, replete with tiny fish, lovely shaded areas and secretive paths, clear water, this is a decent water hole in a most splendid, serene location. I would not call it a “lake”, though. You’re not going to lug a big ship or yacht out there, or anything.

Lovely Spot in the Summer

Spider Lake is an excellent place for a day trip, especially if you have a canoe or kayak. It is warm in the summer and is really fun to explore, with lots of nooks and crannies. The beach is sandy with good picnic spots in the shade at tables. It can get quite busy, so best to get there early and stake your claim. Warm to swim, without the "itch" purported to be at nearby Horne Lake.

Soent several days there...

...we loved it so much! Took paddle boards and paddled and floated all day! The kids loved it! Dogs allowed on a leash! Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot for a picnic

we stopped here for a picnic lunch and really enjoyed the beautiful placement of picnic tables under the trees with a view of the lake. Dont let the name put you off there were no spiders its the way the lake looks from the air is what we were told. People swimming did not feel how warm the water was..its a bit off the grid but well worth it

It was once a nice place to take a dip . This is a small lake and the depth of the water in many places is only 4-5 feet going across to the other side. It has been leaving it a little swampy for my liking . Go to a river instead !!!

wonderful place to go,

spent 10 days at This beautiful place is very peaceful, clean and the water is clean and warm perfect for a relax and swim. Scenic and very family friendly. Only human powered boats allowed... we loved spending time on kayak's searching the lake for small beaches and islands, no smoking on the lake side,, gets busy on long weekends and hot days.

SUP Quick paddle

After driving by the sign for this lake for over 10 years I finally pulled over. So cute I drove down to the end where the parking lot is however discovered it was a bit of a hike to get my equipment to the water. So I turned around and went back to the boat launch. The lake is very rural and has A few well hidden homes/cabins around it. Lots of underwater obstacles (fallen trees) so watch your fins! I spent approximately one hour there, and enjoyed how quiet it was!
Well I was paddling back towards the boat launch I saw a bridge that was connecting the boat launch area to the main recreational area, so I decided once I packed my stuff in the car I would check it out. Very beautiful have a wooded area. When I turned around to head back to my car I saw something giant scoot across my foot! I’ve bent over to take a closer look thinking it was a giant spider because the name of the lake is spider Lake. However I was pleasantly surprised it was a baby frog! I started to look around and there were lots of baby frogs everywhere about the size of my thumbnail!! So watch where you’re stepping!

Pontoon flyfishing on Spider Lake

Well stocked with rainbow and Bass this quiet little lake is close to QB and great for entire family picniking, swimming and hiking. Oh yes, keep an eye out for the resident Bald eagle that likes to steal your catch.

Beautiful spot for a relaxed swim

This is a beautiful, peaceful, clean and warm lake for a relax and swim. Scenic and very family friendly. Only human powered boats allowed, with lots of islands and areas of the lake to explore on your paddle board, kayak or little dinghy! Several nice beaches offer sun and shade and shallow sandy water for the kids.
