Seriously one of my favourite road side attractions. I have great childhood memories of this and I've brought my kids here over the years. While it has changed it still remains the same. It's must visit if you're in the area. They have a good visitor's centre here with lots of parking and washrooms, which makes it a great stop even if only for a few minutes.

This place is a nice rest stop with picnic areas, restrooms, a nice visitor's center, and of course, the goose. You can also take in some beautiful views from the overlook. We found this a great place to stop and stretch and have a picnic lunch while driving the eastern shore of Lake Superior which can be quite remote without a lot of places to stop. Good place for kids to run off their energy too!

You cannot travel through Wawa, Ontario, without stopping off to see this statue. They have a very nice information centre where you can learn all about Wawa and the statue.

Always a good stop and have your photo taken with the goose! Haven’t been there since 2006 and I must say, the new goose looks great. Nice little info and gift shop and a Tim Hortons next door. Nice view. Love these roadside attractions

I stopped to see the new goose that was put up a few years ago.
Good place to stop and stretch your legs and go into town for some food.
I remember stopping when I was a young kid traveling through Ontario.

Neat spot with a stunning view. Good for all ages to check out. The rock is not a real rock! We were surprised lol. The teens enjoyed this silly goose picture spot.

Great place to stop and stroll through the very nice grounds and shop. Allows you to give your legs a stretch.

When one passes through Walwa, at the junction of Highway 101 and the Trans- Canada highway one cannot miss this about eight metre tall waterfowl. Made if wire mesh and plaster, this is nothing extra-ordinary but good enough to draw the curiosity of visitors or drivers.
Am informed that this waterfowl was unveiled when the highway opened in 1960.

It is always to visit sites like this. We all need a good snicker. Red Green, a Canadian comedian, had this Goose on his show once. Maybe try Googlig Red Green takes the WaWa Canadian Goose on a road trip. See if anything comes up.

An easy place to stop just off the highway while passing through. We found it very interesting reading the history and an interesting monument.

It is difficult to see from the main highway during the day so at night it can be seen but it is more difficult and dangerous. It is on the road into Wawa so is not on the main highway. You can stop near it anytime of day or night to take a look. However driving at night is not recommended in Northern Ontario.
