刚到洛矶山脉的第一站，就是Yoho Park的游客服务中心，在那里职员了解了我们的行程规划，都会作出建议。 中心内放有化石标本丶黑熊标本，供小朋友玩「发现化石」的沙池。我们还可以在游客中心购买国家公园的门票丶拿到不同景点的地图和资料。举世无双的天然奇景,高耸入云的山峰,笔直陡峭的岩壁,悠活国家公园游客中心,富丰的资讯,生动的video,动物的模拟制作,栩栩如生,幽默风趣。

It is located in Field, quite a big space, actually it is a visitor centre as well for Yoho as for Alberta. So many books, brochures etc. Outside there is a kids playground. It is also along the kicking horse river

Mooi bezoekers centrum voor Yoho.

Ruime parkeerplaats aan de voorkant. Het park was nog dicht, vanwege de sneeuw en ijs, maar dit bezoekercentrum maakte veel goed. Aardige mensen en een mooie film over hoe je het beste wildlife kan benaderen. Gezellige aankleding, beetje huiskamer achtig. Goede display. Zeker een bezoek waard.

Outstanding centre

The centre is located just outside of the Field and off the Trans-Canada Highway. There is ample parking available.
The guides are very well informed and helpful.
There is a shop selling t shorts and other tourist merchandise. There is also a model railway of the Tunnel Mountain.

Unexpected

Didn’t expect such a nice facilty in such a small town. The exhibits were interesting and informative, the staff very good. Local lore worth stopping for.

Just Okay...

A small gift shop, an information area, and a few displays are all you will find here. We did get a map of the hikes in the park and suggestions for where to go, but it was rather underwhelming and we didn’t really learn any more than we knew already from our guide books and the internet.
So stop if you want to, but we didn’t feel like it was a stop we had to make.

Eines der besten Visitorcenter

Eines der besten Visitorcenter, das wir in mehr als drei Wochen kennengelernt haben. Sehr gepflegte Santäreinrichtungen, reichlich, aufmerksames Personal, gemütliche Sitzecke mit Holzofen, die einlädt, das kostenlose Wlan auch wirklich mal zu nutzen. Echt spitzenmäßig, mehr kann man nicht erwarten.

Stop in if you are there as they can give you very informative information about the Park and all that there is to do there. It is located right at Field BC & the Trans Canada Hwy.

Important stop for visiting the park

To get your best value when visiting this fabulous park, DO stop in and connect with the experts here. There are so many fascinating places to see, and things to do. As a remote park, some features are not accessible all year, so the information staff can help you with timing, etc. The building itself is great, with places to sit and relax, good washrooms (but very busy ones, as all the tour buses stop here), and wifi. I've always been interested in the Burgess Shales, and they explained when and how I could get to see them (too late when I was there).
