My sister and I stopped at this park for lunch. There is a very large, sandy beach with a great number of picnic tables located on a grassy knoll. A number of trails are available to explore the forest beside this grassy area. Parking was easy for us as there were only few visitors to the park at the time we were there. A dog beach is close by. Bathrooms are on site.

Nice sand and water and a grass area with tables but very busy. The parking lot is always full so go early. No other services or stores nearby.

This is a great park with easy access . The beach and park are well cared for. The flushing toilets are a great feature. Parking can be a bit crowded, go early. A nice grass area and picnic tables, and a great beach with good swimming area.

Clean, beautiful, sandy beach. Lots of picnic tables on a huge grassy space. Also includes an amazing dog beach right around the corner by the public boat launch. Could use more parking spots on weekends. Come early for a good spot.

This Park has a wonderful sandy beach, many picnic tables scattered throughout open grassy areas & shady forest spots, & as well, it has taps for washing. However, dogs are not allowed on the beach; this is for the health & enjoyment of everyone!

We came looking for a beach for the small grandchildren. Well, this works very well. Nice sand and good swimming area. There are toilets on site. Picnic tables and lots of shady places. Really enjoyed our visit.

Canoe Beach is pebbly, the beach at the ocean has sharp sea shells but the sand at Mara Lake is pristine! We found this gem on our way to Vancouver and it is fabulous! Pretty sure it is a local treasure that is kept under wraps and if you visit you won't be disappointed. The locals bring their dogs to swim, play volley ball on the beach and launch their boats to fish or water ski. Amazing stop and I recommend taking your shoes off to stroll the shore line especially around sunset.
